It is at once amusing and annoying to see someone join a forum and make a dumnb firs tpost like that, rather than the convention of introducing one's self in, I dunno, maybe a place like

You're not wrong there. I think that everyone should open a moderator approved introduction post before they can post freely where they like. That'll stop the spammers and make the halfwits think twice.

Where 99 percent of F1s newbie teams pack up and fold within 3 years Force india spent 3 years being THE botton team by a margin, finishing 22nd etc all the time, he stuck it out and his team is now a regular point scorer, with a pole in 2009 too.

I think hes done a great business job to keep it going and advance it.

2008 = 10th out of 11 teams
2009 = 9th out of 10 teams
2010 = 7th out of 12 teams
2011 = so far 6th out of 12 teams

Oh look they've not been the botton, sorry bottom team every year and if they were going to be finishing 22nd at every race then they wouldn't have any points would they? Force India are a very competant midfield team.

Although these "halfwits" may sometimes be new to the sport, and are just putting in their views that would understandably lack the full understanding of someone who's been watching F1 longer. Maybe they should be given some slight slack to see if they turn into a pain or a good member.

Back on the subject of Force India, I agree with andrew in that they are indeed a competent and solid midfield team. Arguably, if KERS had never been invented, the team would've won the 2009 Belgian GP.

No they didn't - the only year that they sucked was their debut year 2008. After that they improved steadily with 2009 already a 2nd and 4th place to show for. And then the 3 new teams showed up and that made them a solid midfielder (apart of course from their improved performance).

I apologise yes sorry, however the point still stands, spent time at the bottom, didnt stagnate, moved up the ranks. Not many teams in the immediate history of the sport can claim that. Prost, Brabham, Spyker, Minardi, MF1, all sellout, seemingly think they can buy a team and win championships off the bat.

Gotta respect Force India for perservering, theyre actually going places, i think the Mercedes engine partnership has helped a lot, i feel the poorer teams choosing cosworth as its all they can is hampering them.

Vijay Mallya-quite a character, and with a genuine love of motorsport. I didnt know he'd raced F1 cars..and won GP's!

I don't think much of Vijay Mllaya personally, but he has money, and tips it into the team...

Force India haven't done anything amazing when you think about it. Money talks, and Force India have a healthy budget.
They paid to have the best engine / KERS package in F1 from Mercedes( and were asked to run Di Resta as part of the deal).They pay McLaren to access thier chassis dynamics tools too.

Remember this is the Jordan team, that run up front, until the money ran out. The talent has always been there, but still feel they are running below their potential. No reason that they shouldn't be right behind the big 4 on the grid, on pure speed.

You can't compare Minardi to them, who never had the resources, yet kept plugging away. Now, as Toro Rosso, with axdecent budget, they are making steps forward, having run up front, and winning on merit.
