Their history of bashing each other goes way back.

Here they are at it again at Fuji in 2008:

I hated the front wings that year. Horrible looking. Yesterday was Felipes fault. 2 races left, lets see if they get together again. If lewis doesnt get any more pre race penalties, they should stay far apart since Massa is always P6 or so. Massa hasnt been the same since his accident. Feel sorry for him but he isnt cut out for Ferrari. Maybe he hasnt gotten over coming in 2nd in 2008 and never will

maybe this helps

This was after Hamilton braked his a*se off to avoid contact but the Crier kept coming and hit him.

Watch the video for a FAIR analysis, please thank you:

Are you telling me at 0:04-0:05, Massa did not KNOW Hamilton was there? Is he both Blind and Stupid? I'm starting to believe so actually, looking at his stupid post race comments.

If you can call that a contact avoiding braking ....... imo, Hamilton went head first into that corner , he could easily avoided that contact, that's true for Massa too (that's why I've said in a previous post that both drivers are to be blamed).
In all fairness, Hamilton executes too many risky maneuvers and sometimes it doesn't work (either for his fault or the other guy fault) (let me give you the Monaco example, I thought.. what the hell, is Lewis brain dead for executing such a stupid maneuver ..)
Both drivers lost their edge in the past seasons, maybe they should forget about this season and hope they will start fresh on the next one.

Alonso is great and Massa is the 4 letter S word. Ferrari need to ditch Massa for another Alonso like driver. If McLaren have 2 equaly good drivers why can't Ferrari do the same. If they do not, they can forget the constructors championship as Alonso alone cannot do this. Massa didn't see Hamilton trying to pass him. That isn't me defending Massa. That is me saying that Massa is the 4 letter word starting with S. And just to prove his S-ness, he then damaged his suspension later in the race (That wasn't related to his incident with Hamilton), so that sums it all up. This was a racing incident, but it was due to the S-ness of Massa not being good enough to realise that Hamilton was there and he had to yield since the pass was practically done.

Well, this article on the BBC website explains everything, it's all Jenson Button's fault!

Don't even start me on this line of thought, its not a pretty site and not conducive to anyones good health!

Now just why do you suppose Whitmarsh felt this was a smart thing to say to the BBC when lewis is down in the depths of his worst season ever

"Lewis, the great, exciting driver that he is, will not like being beaten by Jenson," said Whitmarsh.

"For any driver, the first driver you want to beat is your team-mate."

and this

McLaren team principal Whitmarsh added: "Lewis will be feeling under pressure because of the great performances from Jenson at the moment.

Nice one Martin. You're such a good team manager. Actually make that driver manager. Just the one driver.

Not Jenson's fault, you got the wording wrong Myown.

There now you have got me started.

He also said that he wants Lewis to try and beat Button and the other way around...
Obviously Lewis has given up this season and as long as they pre - decide what to say to the media, I don't think Martin's opinion will have any negative effect on Lewis. Furthermore I think what Martin said, was somehow the truth, without favouring one or the other.

I understand the disapointment that exists around, but as long as Button delivers more points than Hamilton, Martin will have something good to say about him. nothing wrong about that.

hopefully next year we will see them both having great races, and a McLaren domination on the WCC

Sure it's not Martin Whitmarsh's?

Exactly.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic.

You should do it more often. You hit the nail on the head....even if you were just repeating what Id said.
