His pace on the 2nd sets were the real Lewis, until he tried to race with the Baby of course. What happened with the first set?

But when he came out, and then the hard tyres his pace was just pathetic....I think its more of him saying "F**k 2011...." :hehe:

Mediocre? It was omplete crap.

omplete?

Are you completely jobless?

Lewis gets penalised for confusinbg flags and lights. Jenson gets no penalty for setting his fastest lap on yellows.
Lewis said - yeah I did it, bring it on (cos thats all anyone wants to hear from lewis)
Jenson goes in -'I did lift yadda yadda yadda' Yeah Jens and you set your fastest lap.

Well done again Stewards. And regarding Lewis, I dont think he's getting any coaching he's just playing along with the nonsense because thats all he can do.

Yeah the hypocrisy is amazing. And I dont even want to understand why Jenson gets away with sh*t and Lewis doesn't. Lift? Oh yeah, he was 0.7 seconds slower than pole, you call that a lift? I'm sure the stewards are borderline retarded but not THAT retarded to know that this doesnt really constitute a 'lift'!!

Wtv, they are side by side, who's with me - Lewis passes Jenson on the 1st lap. :D

That would be cool. Lewis is considerably faster........well he has been...........

The bit I've bolded- I have a few theoriers on that but like you say, I dont even want to go there, Im in a bad enough mood already.

Have one of these ma chère :)

Merci. It might take a lot more than that!

Mediocre? It was complete crap. And yet he was second fastest, split the red Bulls and half a second clear of Button in quali

The cars are over 100kg lighter in Quali. Can't always transfer Q pace into race pace whether we are talking certain teams or drivers. Regardless had Lewis started his rightful P2 I'm sure he would have at least finished there, not sure he would have had the pace of Seb.

Nah, he would have found somebody else to collide with :P

Well the suns at the end of its 11 year cycle, it's about to shift its polarity. Perhaps Lewis and Felipe are affected by this and are drawn together... But even that force wouldn't have dragged Felipe up to the front of the race  Lewis would have been fine.

Here's a nice interview with Lewis stating what he thinks has been contributing to his poor season

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/96062

Personal life, private problems, not having a close group around him at Gp's, things like that. And he refutes Whitmarsh's comments that Button's form is affecting him. He's not concerned about jenson's form and results, he's concerned about his own..which arent good enough. He knows what he's capable and he isnt achieving it. Nothing to do with Button, though he commends Buttons performances and the way he goes about things.
Now if Whitmarsh seriously felt one of his drivers was being affected by the others form, the last thing he would do is announce it to the world. He'd try to bolster and reassure the driver. So what was all that about? Why say it Martin?:banghead::banghead:

I wasnt talking about 'blame', you miss the point. I asked why Whitmarsh felt he had to make an untrue comment, that had it been true may well have added to one of his drivers woes. I wonder what he hoped to achieve by that.

I don't think he was thinking too deeply when he did say it.To be fair he does tend to praise the driver thats been doing the best in the last race.
But I just hope Lewis does get that close group round him next season and it has a positive effect on his mental state and confidence. He does seem to be a bit closer to his dad in the last few races,I don't know if that has always been the case or it just didn't hit the tv cameras.

Yeah I hope you're right. I really like his dad. Be nice if his brother could be there too, I know he does go a lot, they're very close. His dad's managing Paul now though and much as he loves Lewis I dont think he'd compromise Paul. He's very professional. I thinking splitting with his dad was one of Lewis' biggest mistakes. He probably took to heart too much all the crap that was flying around about him and his dad at the time.
I wonder how Sam Michael will fit into all this, maybe that will be for the good.

Edit: I cant agree that Whitmarsh always praises the driver doing well. last year he was constantly bolstering Jenson when he qualified badly and Lewis did well.( At the time I thought that was a nice touch cos Jens was new, but now???)

Also in the Independant lewis responds rather more strongly to what Whitmarsh said concerning Lewis being affected by Jenson's performance
"He made some comments which I disagree with. It's rubbish. jenson's doing great for the team. But thats not affecting how I'm performing"
