I think the incident today was 50/50. Fundamentally it was pass or crash, and neither of them backed off. Felipe being given the penalty seems to have a bit too much of giving Hamilton the benefit of the doubt as Felipe has had the benefit of the doubt before.

I would like to see the end of the racing line mentality where drivers think that being on the racing line gives them the right to stay on it regardless of whether there is a car on the inside, if it was accepted that the driver on the inside would not have to yield there would be less incidents like this and the racing would be better imo.

You seem to forget Japan....
I disagree with the penalty. Felipe was on the racing line, he was ahead, so he had the right of way in my eyes.
Felipe and Lewis are both very good drivers and should both be more carefull.
And to be totally honest, Lewis has a worse reputation in these kind of incidents than Felipe.

Who says Lewis wasn't looking for the accident??? :yikes::yes:

Their history of bashing each other goes way back.

Here they are at it again at Fuji in 2008:

This was even better, the Crier actually left the track, went on the grass and came back and spun Lewis off.

Yep! He got a penalty for it, and as he came back out on track, he collided with a Toso Rosso!!! Classic!!

Is Massa really the same man since his head trauma? I know of others with injuries like that and it has changed them even though
they are called recovered.

There's no hiding from the fact he just hasn't hit the heights he used to do since that accident. It must have had something to do with his form, which hasn't recovered at all.

Fate and circumstances have conspired to put Hamilton and Massa together on the track, time after time. Neither will give an inch, neither will back down, and the finger pointing after previous incidents has only entrenched this intransigence.

As bud (?) said, the only way this can be avoided is if they stay out of each other's way.

EDIT: Apologies. I see it was Hammer who said that.

Its simple, the little Crier in the red car needs a 101 lesson on RACING. His thing with racing is not new, he's had quite a few crashes in his pathetic career, and it won't end.

What Lewis needs to do is to qualify well and make SURE he's nowhere NEAR the Crier. This time around the stewards felt another penalty was needed during practice as Lewis was looking a bit too fast for their liking, so Lewis had no choice but to start near the Crier.

Conclusion, sooner Ferrari kicks the Crier out of the team, the safer the racing at the sharp end.

I'm more curious about Hamiton wearing a Marley helmet. Does F1 drug test? Once or twice is bad luck. The cryer in the chrome car seems to always be part of one conflict or anther. I have no problem with people smoking the pot but it probably should be avoided before races. It explains ALOT. The bad attitude, the bad judgement, the slow reaction times. Hamilton is a menace to the sport and it appears isn't even a contender anymore since Button seems to be showing him how it's done.

He wore the Marley helmet as a mark of respect for the two motoracers who died recently. Its about the song 'One Love' with the lyrics‘Let’s get together and feel all right’ .Hamilton told reporters on Thursday: “These times are sent to try you. And it’s about how you pull through them.”
Its a shame you cant show a little more respect instead of making ridiculous accusations.

It did seem as though Massa knew Lewis was there. What did he think was going to happen if he turned in? What was he thinking when we have already lost 2 great men in motorsport crashes recently. Considering this, his penalty was not harsh enough.
