Whinge bag is on the red button now.

Chatting absolute :bs:

I want to f***ing punch that guy. How he reckons Lewis saying "have a good race" to him is bad is beyond me. The little s**t needs to get a grip.

Seriously, take your pick. Massa's nickname options:

- Brazilian Baby (it rhymes)
- The Crier (it is accurate)
- The Tear-Eyed Dwarf (a slightly more creative description)

How about the UNtalented, UNreasonable, UNnecessary UNderdog?

Brundle and particularly Coulthard show bias, ive said this before. They didnt even debate a penalty for Massa, only for Lewis. I think the bias in F1 is disgusting. Why is coulthard reporting on a race when he is employed by one of the competitors?

Not saying I disagree with this, however what you're pointing out is relatively minor compared to both positive and negative bias that commentators / analysts in the past have displayed. In particular, everyone I know always talks about how brilliant James Hunt was with his sharp wit and analytical skills. I agree, however I never view him in a positive light because whilst he was commentating he went on a one man crusade to not just criticise, but to destroy the career of one man - Riccardo Patrese. He was doing it on false grounds because Hunt believed that Patrese was responsible for the death of another racer years beforehand, when it was subsequently proven that Patrese had nothing to do with the incident in question. It didn't stop him from letting his bias getting in the way of the facts though. On the other hand, Murray Walker is a legend, but the amount of pro Mansell bias he (completely admittedly) displayed in incidents that were clearly Mansell's fault was ridiculous. He won't deny that which is entirely to his credit.

What's my point? Well sure Coulthard might display bias at times, as other commentators have in the past. It isn't right but:

1. It isn't anything new;

and

2. It doesn't take away from that individual's skills as a commentator or analyst, or the ability for the viewer to enjoy it UNLESS they CHOOSE to focus only on circa 1% of what that person says and does for an entire race weekend.

I'd rather sit back and enjoy Brundle and Coulthard whilst they are commentating as they are the best combination we've had since Murray Walker retired a decade ago when he was likewise working with Brundle.

I find this negativity towards any other driver distressing. Surely it's what we've been complaining about with Lewis over the years. I don't think Felipe should be in a Ferrari any more but this up welling of abuse is pointless. :irked:

Better than Legard and MUCH MUCH better than James Allen. Now there was some bias!

It what happens when the passion brims over after watching a race with an incident causing much debate! I will no doubt look back on my comments later on and cringe. But that's how it is.

To LewEngBridewell, I agree that Massa is useless and all but what makes you think that he deliberately cause the accident, have you seen other onboard footage or camera angles?? Was Massa looking in his mirrors for lewis to crash in to him or something??

Frontrunner, the BBC showed many a replay of this accident with detailed analysis. If you keep you eye on Felipe's helmet in the footage leading up to the incident, you will see him looking over to his mirrors a number of times. Felipe definitely knew Lewis was there.

Why would DC favour Massa, a Brazilian Ferrari driver over a British McLaren driver? DC used to drive for McLaren had his best years there im sure he still has a soft spot there.

If Lewis started P2 like he should have he wouldn't have had to worry about this loser aka Felipe. But for what ever reason Lewis ends up back around P5-7 he will tangle with this hot headed no hoper.

Good to see Felipe got the penalty he did turn in on Lewis :censored:

My guess, this is not really massa and lewis but an extension of the poison that Alonso is spreading within Ferrari.
As he and Lewis had a spectacular fallout at McLaren, he now has a foil in Massa. He is probably telling Massa the hard luck within the team (Ferrari) is not Alonso getting all the glory and attention but is all Hamilton's fault.
Massa will remain the number 2 driver at Ferrari if he concentrates on Hamilton, which will suit Alonso.

You know, I wouldn't rule that out. Massa would definitely be plain dumb enough to fall for that one.

Welcome to the forum BTW! :wavey:

I think the incident today was 50/50. Fundamentally it was pass or crash, and neither of them backed off. Felipe being given the penalty seems to have a bit too much of giving Hamilton the benefit of the doubt as Felipe has had the benefit of the doubt before.

Felipe Massa is adamant his latest penalty is unfair.......

Source:Autosport

"My view is that I was in front, I braked later than him and I was in front, I was on the grippy area as well and then I started to turn and I didn't see him on the left as he was behind," said Massa. "He touched my rear wheel. So, to be honest I don't understand why I have the penalty. It is not really understandable."

Asked if he felt he was now part of a 'feud', Massa replied: "Maybe for him. Because all the incidents are that he touched my car. So, I didn't do anything wrong."

He added: "If it is Lewis or not Lewis, whatever the driver is there, I would do the same."

Massa also denied that he had looked in his mirrors to see where the McLaren was and then deliberately turned in on his rival.

"I know he was on my side. But when I braked, this is the important place, not when you are on the straight, when I braked, he was not on my side," he said.

"So, I turned because I braked later than him. I cannot understand why I am supposed to back off and let him by, no? I braked later. He was on the dirty side.

"And then I turned and he touched me from behind. He did not touch on my side, or wheel-to-wheel. If it was wheel-to-wheel I would not try to close the door."

There are several problems with this statement. Massa both admits and denies that he knew Lewis was there...

He also states that Lewis touched him "from behind". This is not the case, Felipe, he touched your sidepod / rear wheel.

A strange speech from Felipe there. All :bs: of course....
