LH broke the rules, he has acknowledged that and accepted the punishment, I don't understand all the fuss...

Ive read there were conflicting indicators on track. the Track was green on the live feed, the in car lights would have been green not yellow. You'd think given that fact you'd reprimand the drivers.

I think that Lewis is glad he got the 3 place grip drop instead of another reprimand, as that would have led him to get a 5 place grid penalty.

You mean from Spa? Surely that hasn't carried over.

I saw that on the FP1 live feed; but there were still local waved yellows; surely he should have seen the 'real' yellows waving? I believe that technology should be used exclusively or not used at all; if there is no uniformity between the electronic devices and the physical flag bearers, then this situation will continue to happen, we can get into semantics but that won't change anything!

When d'Ambrosio crashed the corner worker nearest his car was frantically waving the GREENflag, for at least 10 seconds it was on the world feed for all to see... eventually he switched to the red flag when the status changed.

Which just strengthens my point... human error is a huge problem especially when local marshalls are used at each event, chances are that some of them don't have a clue about what's happening!

Part of the confusion can be put down to the fact that Lewis drove into an area where there was waved yellows but also a green light flashing, thus giving a conflicting message.

However, he's held his hands up and admitted it was his mistake, so it's just best that he puts this latest balls-up behind him and press on.

All this moaning about someone who apparently broke the rules and gets a 3 places penalty and has one of the fastest cars. Y'all realise that wins are possible from 3rd.

1 + 3 = 4.

Reprimands carry over, if you get 3 reprimands you get, i think, a 5 place grid penalty

he got 1 in Catalunya for speeding under yellows despite McLaren proving he lifted for the incident, and he got one for being hit by Maldonado. Well played stewards

I don't think he believes he made a mistake, I think he is being coached to shut up and endure in silence, else be labeled a whiner. However, ...

...yellow flag and green light.

The yellow flag was displayed a bit before this frame, and a bit before Lewis was abeam that point on the track but, in light of the limited sidewards visibility from the survival cell, I'm not convinced he could have seen it. But being as the FIA are displaying the "All clear" at the end of the straightaway, I think the greater question is whether he should have seen it.
