Someone invite Martin Whitmarsh to be a member of this forum! He can speak out! Then all this mucking around would cease!!

Still wouldn't convince everyone.

I suppose the only way to convince folk would be to get Lewis Hamilton himself on here! Who wants twitter when you've got Forumula1, Hammy?

Isn't twitter derived from twit?

Still wouldn't convince everyone. Some would say it's a fake.

Looks like we'll have to make do with waiting for his memoirs then.....................

Then they'll say that his memoirs have been altered to help Whitmarsh/McLaren save face. There will always be some lame excuse.

Jenson for PM yea now we're talking

Oh hell no!

This might add to the conspiracy but someone I used to work with has a friend whose other half is supposedly from the same neck of the woods as Button. Apparently he's a right nonce but I dare say all drivers and famous folk have a good few people who claim to have grown up in the same town just to add a bit of weight to their claim that the person is a twat.

Just dropping it in there.

i can believe it

In 2004 i was lucky enough to win a VIP trip to the British Grand Prix, all of the drivers i met were fantastic apart from one, all came to say hello and shake my hand ( Michel Schumacher even showed me round his car and explained in detail what every button on his steering wheel did ! )
Jenson Button didn't even get off his backside and waved away his manager / agent ? when he was asked to
I've always thought he was a twat since then.

First off, what an amazing experience! You must have been well chuffed after that!

Shame about Jenson though, he's not one of the guys you would expect to be withdrawn and unwilling to interact. Maybe there was something on his mind or something.... it's hard to say.

It was the most fantastic day ever ( i was treated and felt like a celebrity all day )
and i know what you mean about Jenson, it's never stopped me supporting him in a race But I don't think he's the great guy he's made out to be

P.s General admission has never been the same since

I can imagine! Unfortunately, all I can afford is General Admission. Hopefully, one day, I'll be lucky enough to win a VIP trip like yours!

Well Racechick its clear starting a perfectly good natured thread was a bad idea, too many Hamilton haters that will gang up and try and convince you your something your not, or that your valid point is moot cause enough people tell you it is, pathetic.

Not just Hamilton haters wuther, Mclaren fans that want to pretend their teams exhaust fumes stink of roses. Thats why i support Ferrari more, they do what everyone else does, and they do it BLATANTLY not with this " we're better then that" nonsense.

Thats the opening monologue to my stand up routine, thanks for the support.

Jens looks after Jens. And thats fine. But lets not make him out to be a paragon. he knows exactly what he's doing.

You know what. I dont really care what the hamilton haters/dislikers/Oh! ha ha here comes another conspiracy theory/ Whitmarsh just wouldnt do that/ Jenson smiles and is really nice/ blah blah blah blah, people think. I'll stick to what I think. Lewis is not getting a fair deal at the moment. He's too honest, he's too nice and he's taken advantage of.
Maybe he should toughen up. Yes good point. But actually I like him just the way he is.

At the end of the day whatever the relationship is between the drivers and MW,none of us know the truth. They are both given the same car to drive and there is no number 1 driver ,he isn't doing too much wrong.

Have to agree with your sentiment there McLaren. Agree with us or get labeled a "hater".
