Post anti-animal abuse petitions, tell about your pets, tell about donations you've made to the ASPCA (or any anti-animal abuse foundation/no-kill shelter), and post pictures of cute, furry little animals. I have a dog (Golden Retriever) named Montana and a cat (Calico) named Bubbles. :D At one time, before I was born, my parents had seven cats.

I have a Border Collie who isn't as smart as his breeds highest of dog breed standards but he is still cool :D
Also a Russian blue cat that if you say chicken will come running straight away! He loves chicken :hehe:

I have 2 imaginary dogs walking around...that's how much I love dogs! Had 1 when I was schooling and really can't wait to purchase a landed property to own 'mans best friends' again. :)

I'm sorry for being lame in this thread as I don't really have pets. :(

Years ago, when I were a lad we had a couple of hedgehogs for a while one summer. We found 2 young ones one their own looking like the hadn't been fed for a while. So a hatch was built in the back garden and we fed them up until they were big enough to be released. Sadly one of them died one night but the other one put on weight and was let out to go its own way. My parents still have one or two hedgehogs turning up each night to have a feed on stuff they put out for them.

We briefly had a racing pigeon for a few days that my Dad rescued at his work before it got flattened by someone zooming round the site. The poor thing was miles off its course and was totally knackered so we kept it for a few days whilst we tracked down the owner. The pigeon ended up going back up to Elgin in a parcel delivery van (the owner knew the driver) as it couldn't even fly out the back garden.

Given that I live in a city centre flat having pet would be pretty unfair on the beast and they're not cheap to look after.

I used to have g pigs too. They're actually characters...not mere rats which look bulky. I remember everytime I stepped into the room, they'd start their squealing for food food food. And whenever the refrigerator is opened by any members in the house. Jeez! :hehe:

I have frogs in my garden pond! :D

I had three tadpoles during school...and thought it was the coolest thing when they turned into frogs. And then they became bigger and bigger...and bigger...and I released them as they began to look....unappealing. :hehe:

Everybody needs dogs. :drink:

Yeah, but after 10 of those pints they turn into foxes.

Had a garter snake a few years back, and as a kid had cats, dogs, a rabbit, a hamster and gerbils. The dog and the rabbit got on great and the rabbit had a thing for the cats although that wasn't mutual, one of the cats got the gerbils and I think an owl eventually got the rabbit.
