I always thought of Johnny Depp as some acceptable lokking bloke that sexually frustrated older women and teenagers got excited about but I've a lot of his films and he is actually a very good actor. Same goes for Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Mat Damon - I would say they are up there with Morgan Freeman, Gene hackman and Jack Nicholson. The jury for me is still out on Leanardo Di Caprio. He was good in The Departed but Titanic is going to take a lot of forgetting.

I have a huge amount of respect for DiCaprio. Certainly way more than Damon and Clooney, and maybe even Pitt.

Agreed. Shutter Island, Blood Diamond, Inception....proof enough.

I know his acting has nothing to do with it but Inception? That was just self indulgent circular logic that at the end left me feeling I couldn't give a sh!at whether the top fell over or continued to spin.

Haha! Yeah many have complained about the fact that the movie took itself too deep for movie goers to care much. I was hooked from the very start (I'm naturally very interested in dream/sleep phenomena) and at the end when the top continued to spin I was just like :yikes::yikes::yikes:. Though you can't be sure if the top had eventually fallen, which keeps you thinking long after the credits roll.

Can't be as bad as Vanilla Sky. That has to be the worst piece of crap I have ever seen past, present and future. That's 2 hours of my life that'll I'll never get back.

How could i forget Gangs of new york :banghead: ,

I dont regard Leo as my favourite actor though, and i hate how underrated Matt Damon is, especially in Team America............

Favourites have to be in no order whatsoever;

Al Pacino
Matt Damon
Leo Di Caprio
Robert De Niro
Jack Nicholson
Dustin Hoffman- If only for Rainman (although its not only for Rainman)
Michael Caine
Clint Eastwood
Tom Hanks (so versatile, great personality too)
Robin Williams (probably the wittiest person in the history of mankind, so on his feet, and his acting is great too)

Tom Hanks?!

You missed out Gene Hackman but included Tom Hanks?!

Yeah man, Gene crossed my mind, good actor but so little great films to add to his list.... theres a lot of actors that didnt make it you know lol, sean connery, christopher walken etc.

And no Anthony Hopkins??? :yikes:

Seriously both of them crossed my minds, but they had had too little hits, i mean, Liam Neeson in Schindlers List, my god possibly best acting performance in the history of film, but its like his only one like that, so he isnt a favourite.

The ones ive got are consistnely in hit films in terms of legacy rather then ticket sales, and their acting is top notch.

Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Forest Whitaker???

Are you just reeling off names off your " Top Black Actors" List :hehe::wink:

Morgan Freeman was iffy, but he didnt make it. Cant someone else post their own lists?
