Had a massive lie-in and watched the full re-run of the race. Needed some sleep, very badly indeed!

My previous venture into buying a Porsche ended in a broken heart so I don't want to get too excited about this. I found a 1986 911Carrera that I'm looking at purchasing. Wish me luck boys and girls, I don't think I can go through another heartbreak.

I did my diagnostics test to enter school to get my GED/HS Diploma; I don't know where my school exam certificates from the UK are; that went missing many years ago so I have to start over!

I got 99% on reading and comprehension & 91% in mathematics, much to my surprise, I haven't attended a classroom for 12 years since I completed college back in 1999!

That's hilarious that you had to go back and get a GED, are you applying for work that needs some sort of documented proof? Congratulations BTW.

That's it; most jobs require a HS Diploma or a GED, the 12 years of experience in the IT field apparently means nothing, but high school level of education certificate means everything! :banghead:

Why bother if you're moving back to England anyway?

If I don't get a decent paying job, for which I need a GED and AS Degree minimum, we won't be moving anywhere, we need to be able to save up a good chunk of change to move back to the UK!

Up at 7.30 am to spend 6 hours going through an induction for my new work. The annoying thing is I'm going to spend pretty much all my time in the warehouse and hardly any of the induction applied to me! Not the most exciting of days it has to be said.

All the best with your new job mate!

I watched qualifying, before going to see a good friend in a play in North London, before going for a few pints in Camden Town. All in all, a pleasant day. :)

I'm on my way for a Jap dinner and to finish a good weekend with "REAL STEEL" at night. :drink:

Wish the rest of you a good finish to your weekends as well!

Thanks Lew.

It's not the best paying job or the most skilled or glamourous and I am in the minority age group (apparently 52% of employees are under 25!) but it can move onto much bigger and better things if I play my cards right and I've made the right noises so far. I'm just happy to be working though after 6 months and I think that looks better on a CV if I'm working rather than unemployed but I'll see where this job takes me. I'm still young, but I'm putting the millionaire dream back to 40 rather than 30 now. :hehe:
