Where's the love for Driven??? :hehe:

Jason Bourne in the mini gets my third place nomination. Mebbes tied with McQueen in Bullitt though...

...Ferris Bueller's Day off (not a car chase per se but so much fun watching a Ferrari GT 250 fly)....

That was ace ...until they showed this:

It was a kit car, probably based on an MG chassis, which is rather like falling in lust with Eva Green, only to discover she/he is a tranny.

Yes, I know Eva Green is not a tranny but you take my point.

I know it now, but didn't then, at the time it felt real enough to forge the memories. Actually today I'm glad they didn't do that to a real GT250. It's kind of like being taken advantage of in your innocent youth, it's all part of the growing up process.

Scent of a woman- Al Pacino. Its one of my favourite films. Not a car chase I know, and only a short car bit, but cool.

The Quiller Memorandum. No cars involved but the lead character (George Segal) being followed round through the night. But the best bit it, the olny sound is their footsteps and the occasional bit of dialogue. Back when films didn't have to have really annoying music in the background, continuous dialogue about nothing and the sound of silence was appreciated. A proper film indeed.

Hot Fuzz. vauxhall Astra v Vauxhall Astra!

I'd actually support Driven as Top 5 car chases I've seen. Mostly because car chases are so common in movies and most of them are the same.

My personal fav is Tomorrow Never Dies, Bond's 7 series BMW was actually of some use in that movie. The gadgets used while in the carpark all through remote control was something different and still stands no.1 for me today.
