Great stats by the way :hehe:

Again looking at the poles in a season.I hardly think it's that impressive to have 11/14 poles when your in a car that much better than everyone else ,with a no hoper like Webber as a team mate.Don't get me wrong I'm not one questioning is Seb a great driver ,but i do think this is one of the weaker records on his list.

Most records are void to me as people have said before sometimes there were only 6 races in a season, let alone 16 lately and nie on 20 now.

He has sometimes been on pole by less than a tenth over Hamilton. Is it really that much better?

I will put that down to a bad lap from Seb then

A car that is 1 second faster per lap in Singapore says enough for me.

The car is dominant. Get over it.

Singapore is very adequate to the red Bull's characteristics. Their average advantage is well short of 1 second.

Surely if Button wins this year, that would be the greatest comeback ever. Of course it's not likley, but it's still mathematically possible.

Button needs to win every single race and Vettels needs to not score anything for the remaining races. Won't happen thankfully. Vettel deserves it again this year.

Unless Webber surprises himself by getting a good start and crashes into Vettel, taking him out and Button wins!... :):P

I was only pointing out that a probable record is still possible should Button win the championship. I don't think that there's any more chance of that happening than there is of Tony Blair deciding to stop avoiding tax for the good of the British people.

True, but then i would have also had to include Vettel being the youngest two-time world champion, since he technically isn't yet, but I reckoned it was enough of a read already that I could exclude those.

Button would need him to break a leg in practice and miss the rest of the season

And even then...winning the rest of the races? Seb can break both his legs tomorrow and still put the trophy in his cabinet and lock it. :hehe:

Imagine the old days when you could get 1 point for qualifying on pole.

Seb could be celebrating the title on a Saturday, and replace the drinking water in his car with champagne, and then celebrate ANOTHER record of being the most intoxicated driver to win a GP! :drink:

Just a childish fantasy to keep me slightly amused.
