I was thinking about this the other day, and this weekends race has sort of brought it up in my mind again. I am sure some of the more Hamilton focused fans can help me out with this.

Where has he had "incidents" and fines/warnings this year?

Malaysia- Breaking tow which was interpreted as blocking  If breaking the tow is illegal then fine im happy with that one, but im sure it isnt and im sure they penalised him over an unexisting rule

Monaco- Massa turns in early and clips webber, no respect given at all for a move that was going to work, overtook schumi easily, maldonado was more hamilton fault and the penalty for that was justified IMO.

Canada- Was driving like 3 seconds a lap faster then eventual winner Button and made a move that was unfortunate not to work, just a very unfortunate racing incident, he also clipped webber into turn 1, that was Hamiltons fault but not majorly bad.

Hungary- Spun, penalised for spinning on track but understandable.

Belgium- Didnt bother to check mirrors overtaking Koba, totally rookie error from hamilton.

Singapore- Clips Massa in literally the only incident which ended nobodies race, whilst cleanly overtaking about 20 cars throughout the grand prix.

Thats the ones.

Abu Dahbi wouldn't be in 2011 would it?

The Monaco penalty was for Massa... if my memory serves, there was no penalty issues for Maldonado.

I believe he was given a time penalty for Maldanado.

Fraff, you forgot Spa. Maldanado swerves across Lewis and Lewis gets penalized. Classic.

Ahhh, that's right it didn't change anything so that's why I forgot it.

This is what the BBC think:

  • Malaysian GP - Picks up drive-through penalty for making more than one change of direction to defend position
  • Monaco GP - Given two drive-through penalties for clashes with Pastor Maldonado and Felipe Massa
  • Canadian GP - Collides with Mark Webber and team-mate Jenson Button, the latter incident forcing him to retire from race
  • Belgian GP - Bangs wheels with Maldonado in qualifying and then hits Kamui Kobayashi in the race, sending his McLaren flying into the barrier
  • Singapore GP - Has minor brush with Massa in qualifying before colliding with the Brazilian in the race

I think some of the penalties have been harsh to be fair, should have been put down as racing incidents and left at that!
