You can write the script of it now...

Vettel - Is on pole, and then sprints of so he has over a second lead by the time DRS becomes active. That is all you will see of him on screen as he will just do a few parade laps until he sees the chequred flag.

So, in other words, he's bad for Red Bull's marketing as he's not on TV that much? :P

Anyway, back to the 2011 Japanese GP and not what may or may not happen in circumstances that may or may not arise.

Isn't this the whole purpose of the thread in the build-up to the race since we don't have many facts yet to discuss? Else you should have started the thread only on practice day... :P

It was the pot stirring that looked like it was going to start WW3 that got me worried.

Don't at the end of the year, manufacturers split the money they earn from the television rights based on the amount of camera time their car gets? If that's the case, no wonder McLaren stick with Lewis.

Vettel to win (again), wouldn't surprise me if get gets pole and wins the remaining five races; if anything Red Bull seem stronger after their mid season stumble. Jenson to 'bumble' around as Jabberwocky says and probably finish second; although I think 'bumbling' around is a little unfair, better than ruining his tyres and having to stop two more times and finish off the podium! I'll go for Hamilton to finish on the final step; qualifying in second and ends up being leapfrogged by Jenson in the final stops but keeps out of trouble after his collision in Singapore.

Suzuka is a drivers track!! No more nonsense curves trying to pass off as corners, its open and its all finesse!

Vettel will win in his spaceship, with Hamilton a distant and lonely 2nd! I can feel it!

Isn't it sad that we're getting excited over 2nd places now. :(

MW qualified second last year, ended up second in the race and scored fastest lap of the race, so he likes the circuit...

your right bumbling was the wrong word. Someone said on here the other day that is the new Prost. he just appears at the end of the race in a good position.

This is Vettel's magic circuit! He won 2 times in a row here, last year it was the real boost for him, and, eventually a championship. He will win the race and the title here!

Red Bull have always looked strong here. Expect them to be so again.

Vettel will be on pole, while Webber may join him on the front row, but will have dropped several places by Turn 1, as is his custom. Vettel will bolt it at the start like a bat out of hell and then build a platform on which to enjoy an easy race.

McLaren will devour Webber and hopefully fill up the rest of the podium unless Lewis goes back to his skulking Monza form after an incident in the Grand Prix previously.

Ferrari will be best of the rest behind the top 4. Alonso will deploy all his KERS into Turn 1, make up positions, but then start forming a train before DRS is enabled. Then he'll fade.

Massa, as usual, will be nowhere. He may even get taken out / spun round again. It is a normal occurence.

Don't forget that Webber was quite strong there last year.

Yes but he was quite strong in a fair few races last year..........
