Is it defo gonna rain then? I have started to ignore any weather reports as they've been wrong a LOT this season.

Can't see them racing if there's any spray at all.

Just took a good look, everything seems to be forecasting the chance rain for 2 to 3 pm but the evening from 5 pm or so is free of rain, just overcast hot and humid.

BBC forecasting heavy rain right through the afternoon through to evening.

Ah right. The race is at, what, 10pm local? Might be ok. I hope it doesn't rain cause there won't be any racing.

8 PM local time.

9:30 Central Australian time just like every European GP.

This is basically a European timed race in Asia.

I've just realised that the entire top 10 are in pairs.

Surely it's an omen.
True, maybe they will finish staggered? :D
It's sad for F1 that some teams prefer to save tyres for the race in q3 like Force India did. Get rid of qualifying/race regulations. Have x amount of tyres for qualifying and x amount for the race. No parc ferme either.

Yep, the tyre reg's are just too restrictive. A driver gets a puncture or has an aborted run, their tyre strategy can go right out the window.

"It was quite an eventful one," Hamilton told the BBC. "Nevertheless it was still quite good, we were competitive. We came in, tried to refuel the car and we had a refuelling problem. So we were running out of time, bit by bit, and we just couldn't get enough fuel in the car so we were too late to get going and unfortunately we weren't able to get our second run. But these kind of things happen and the team did the best job they did, and we're not in a bad position... I think we probably could have been on the front row, I think we had a bit more time in the bag which was good, so that's positive for tomorrow."

When asked about having to muscle his way past Felipe Massa on his outlap, Hamilton shrugged off the incident and said it didn't affect his lap.

"The guys always try to back you up and I was ready to get going so I was trying to get past and he was blocking and blocking and blocking, and eventually I got past. My lap was pretty good but I got held up by Fernando (Alonso); I was about a second behind Fernando at the end so I lost a little bit in my second sector. The pace is good and I feel good for tomorrow."

Looks like this is all Felipe Baby is good for from now on, since he can't seem to drive a car to the limit anymore. Useless little ****.
