Google+ is Fbook's direct rival. Supposedly better in respecting your privacy and has more 'useful' features.

Breaking News:Lewis Hamilton has officially overtaken The Fonz in race wins. With 88 races less. Lol(Without a specially built blown diffuser, illegal front wing, preferential treatment)

Depends how you use it. Facebook advertz is a very powerful tool for marketing your business to select target markets..similar to linkedin.
