Dont need to remind me MOA i was there that day and forever set me on the anti Scumi path :hehe: him going to Ferrari escilated it! Although I must say I've warmed to him in recent years :yikes:

Worst part for Hill was Schumacher damaged his suspension from his brush with the wall so he would have had him by Brabham straight anyway.

mnmracer, that's good stuff. When Brawn replied "I'll tell people about 1994"..................can anybody shed a little light on meaning of that.

traction control was banned that season, and it was said Benetton were using it still.

Or maybe the now infamous incident that won Schumacher the world title that year...

I didn't know about the traction control issue in '94... I learn something new every day!

There was also the fuel rig thing. And the worn plank that cost Schumacher his win in Belgium and him being told to ignore a black flag. Good old Briatore and Symonds!

Hill said that after the race; he didn't realise that Schumi had damaged his car so made the move when he did and the rest we know.

That was the thing that did it for me with Schumi-knew he was damaged so drove into Hill-poor show. But like Bud I've warmed a little.
I thought that incident was what the transcripts was referring from, but hey...there's so many to choose from!!

Funny how Hill has since said he made a desperate lunge after seeing Schumacher recovering.

The thing I can't understand is how Senna blatantly ramming Prost in turn 1 in Suzuka in 1990 in a move where their is no doubt about Senna's intentions is hailed as being a great F1 moment and is usually almost laughed off yet the Schumacher/Hill incident gets so much critisim.

To my mind, Prost/Senna was far worse as there is not dubiety about it at all.

Probably glad other people realise the nonsense going on.......you do know its not real?
#276366
Dont think so :D But its ACE!

I would be deeply concerned if you think it is real.

Why's that? The website looks legit. I don't go there so I don't know if it is. It sounds like Micheal humor for a bit of it. When it got to the they will blame lewis anyway part is when I kinda lost appeal.

Senna was understandably miffed about the favouratism Prost was receiving from Balestre, whom it is generally thought manipulated the championship for a compatriot. Prost knew about it but he did not want it. But he also knew Ron Dennis and Honda were exceedingly biased for Senna. In the previous race IIRC this had come to a head with some incident. I can't remember for sure but it might have been about Prost dishonoring an agreement about the first corner. There were so Many times I can't keep them straight! They both ignored agreements a lot. So anyway after Qualifying at this race Senna said he was fed up with playing fair and getting the stinky end of the stick all the time, and now would do as Prost had done, and he was going to go for the corner no matter what and if they touch it would be because Prost did not give way. Not that Prost would be obligated to give but he did have fair warning so in that sense Senna was correct. Of all people, Prost does not figure that Senna rammed him just to take the title. In the book, Prost Vs Senna, the cover from which is in my sig and for which Prost provided ample interview time, and that very thick book The Life of Senna, I have garnered innumerable bits of info from behind the scenes. It is all very enlightening. What we saw on TV and what the broadcasters show them saying tells us next to nothing of what was going on. It was not one crash. It was years of conflict. I encourage you to read them.

Indeed Brad more to it than just a crash, Senna and Prost in 90 was just in my view considering Balestres and Prosts manipulation of events which is the most concerning aspect of that whole story. Was it a sport to those frogs?
