Great stuff, I love being an F1 fan.

The two funniest lines in the video are Nick saying to his brother "you're such an idiot"... and "I'm Fernando Alonso, all I'll be doing is worrying about where you are and what you're doing".

Where's the line "I'm Lewis, and I'm driving with car damage OFF" ??
must have been edited.

I know... I would have laughed even more with that one!

Ive been frequently accused of saying Hamilton can do no wrong. Well listen up. That was one of the worst races I've seen lewis drive. There you go. Dont call me out on that one again. And why was it so? Because lewis has allowed the (whingers, moaners, know all's, hypocrites, jealouse bums, political weeler dealers etc etc)to get to him. He appeased them in the way he drove last week.
The real lewis would never have gone three into a corner and come out last-Jesus he had that move nailed when he was a GP2 driver!
He would never have sat lap after lap behind a slower car while Schumacher and the stewards take the piss.
And he would never have needed any encouragement to go chase down Alonso.
Whats the point coming 4th??? He cant win the championship...so go try to win the race. Oh! Cant do that, he has to please people by not racing. Pah! He is the most talented driver on the grid and so they grind him down. And its working. very sad.
And I must say its very interesting to see all the hypocrites come out and praise Schumcaher for his racing, very interesting indeed.

Ok rant over.

I thought this the other day and then thought, well im the only one whos saying it, so its obviously just me.

They are out to get him, we cant do s*** about it so its best to just see how it goes, he did state he was out to finish, but i dont know why either.

This is just the culmination of three years of uncompetitive (in relative terms) Mclaren cars. Its just a phase.

I got the feeling that everything he did last sunday was rhetorical: as if to say, "You want me to race 'safe'? Fine, but be careful what you wish for."

I admit, this is purely speculative based on his race and demeanor afterwards.

I think you're probably right. But some people will be delighted with what they wish for. An impotent Lewis hamilton. Result! If he plays that game the loser will be Lewis.

It seems unlikey that would be the case to me, but I see what you mean about his demeanor afterwards. If it is the case I hope he feels he's made his point. The only ones who will suffer will be himself, his team and the fans.

I doubt he did it to make a point. More fed up with battling against the odds. But yes the loser will be him

I think that is a very sad view to have indeed. :nono: From what I have seen so far, the vast majority of people here are F1 fans first and driver/team fans second and I don't think there are that many, if any, who would wish (by this I mean in their heart of hearts mean it as opposed to a bit of rivalry) any misfortune on a driver. To say something like that is unnecessarily controversial in my book.

The guy had a few bad races. Simple as that. It happens to them all at some point.

You dont think there are multitudes that think like that?

Living in a dream world andrew, id bet money hes the most hated driver in F1 history. As a result i bet hundreds of thousands were ecstatic.

Like I said, it's a very sad view to have.

All drivers have folk who don't like them just as much as they have their fans.

Try looking for the positives rather than constantly focussing on the negatives. You'll save a fortune in anti-depressants.

Sad, but there we are its a fact. And im not talking about a few forum posters on here.
If you dislike contraversial views then maybe forums are not a good idea for you, its sort of the point of them.

I dont think he's had a few bad races. I think he had one bad race, the last one, for the reasons i gave .

Depends what you class as controversial.

What is the source of your "fact"?

As I said, all drivers have their "haters", not just Hamilton. It's all part of F1 and sport in general.
