A few rumours doing the rounds that Kimi might be joining Williams next year. He has visited their place a few times. Apparently he likes them getting Renault donks instead of the Cosworth.

If that's so, I wonder who the odd man out would be Barrichello or Maldonado? Both if you ask me and give the hulk a shot.

Silly season is obviously in full swing now! Don't think Williams could afford his wages or that Raikkonen would rock up back in F1 just to race in the midfield. Unless Williams have something spectacular up their sleeves!

Would Raikkonen bring any sponsors with him?

I'd think Lotus-Renault would be a more likely candidate what with Kubica's questionable status and their bigger pocketbook.

I don't know Kimi that well, I watched his season in 2008. But it seems like ever since he did leave, there has been rumors of his return. I can't imagine he'd join a s*** team, when his stature could easily slip him into the top 4 teams.

When he was at McLaren and Ferrari he came accross as a very shy guy with one word answers but on-track was blisteringly fast when he wanted to be. He went to WRC and all of a sudden in interviews he was smiling, laughing, joking and seemed a totally different person.

Maybe it's just down to teams like Ferrari and McLaren trying to get their drivers to fit quite a staid image in what they or their sponsors perceive as looking professional which is probably fine for some people but not others.

However, this is another in a long line of rumours but I think this is the first time a team that exists has been mentioned that I can think of (was he not supposedly linked to the mythical Stefan GP?).

Raikkonen left F1 still in his prime so there are always going to be rumours circulating about him during the Silly Season.

As much as I support and like Raikonnen, I very much doubt he is willing to return to F1 and less likely to return to a midfield team. 2 years out of F1 is not gonna help and I don't think he will relax his high salary demands. Still fingers crossed it will happen as I think he was awesome fast!

I still don't see Raikkonen returning to F1 ever; he seems to be happy in WRC while he seemed miserable in F1 plus I think it's the media's concoction; Raikkonen has been linked with moves to a number of teams in the last two years; there wasn't any truth in any of those stories, and I don't believe there is any truth in this story!
