Lets get all nationalistic over F1 Pole Positions. So far, drivers from 19 countries have achieved pole positions in F1. At the bottom of this list of 19 sits Poland with one courtesy of Robert Kubica's effort in Bahrain in 2008. The Kube edged Felipe Massa (the eventual winner) by 27/100ths giving the Pole a pole and Poland its only Pole.

I'd like, in order, the top 5 countries in terms of number of pole positions achieved. Bonus points if you can give me the number of pole positions any country has achieved.....

2. Germany
3. Brazil
4. Italy
5. France

Or swap the bottom two (Italy and France), I'm not really sure about those...

Kimi Raikkonen, Mika Hakkinen and Keke Rosberg spring to mind.

I always forget Keke Rosberg is Finnish. :(

Well, between Joey and Andrew we have all the countries. Andrew has the order correct, but, he's missing the other country tied for 5th. Joey has the missing country in his list. There is definitely enough clues here to let you work out the answer. I'll wait until someone gives me the list - including the tie :-)

Well done WB.

That was too easy, I'll have to revert to being vague and cryptic. :hehe:

Over to you.

Please don't... this way the thread stays nice and active. Instead of vague and cryptic you can sort of make up your own question based on something that can't be easily found with "the Google". I haven't participated in a while, but give me a few to think something up.

If F1 was a playwright's creation, Ayrton Senna would be considered one of the lead characters, while Johnny Herbert would be just another of the many actors in the background.

Yet these two drivers share an interesting if not necessarily important statistic in the history books. Qu'est-ce que c'est?
