Congrats to the Aussie Samantha Stosur for winning the US Open against Serena Williams in two sets: very well played!

Yep, just seen it on the news, Awesome result, first aussie female to win a grand slam in 31 years or something.

What? You didn't get up a bit earlier to watch it live?? A nice sports fan you are!

Not sure if the final was even on free to air or not? Both French and US opens matchs are on pay tv in Oz. Hopefully she can repeat that result in the aussie open next year, now that I know I can watch free to air.

In the men's US final I really hope Nadal beats Djoković.

Yea i hope so!!I like Nadal very much How bad ,Wozniacki wasnt in the final yesterday!!

I can't wait to see Nole destroying Nadal, and to rub it IN YA FACE!

I prefer Nadal's game, but Djokovic has given me good laughs with his impressions....so its tough to get passionate about this match. May the best man win...but I lean slightly more towards Rafa.

Well, get set, here it goes:

NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the man!!! He wins even when he's injured!!! I'm a proud Serb today, once again, thanks to him!!! He is the best player in the world, and, high likely, in the history of the sport, just wait and see!!!

Congrats to Joker!
it's interesting seeing the power change in tennis, someone who was once unbeatable loses his edge and another takes his place. Federer, Nadal now Djokovic

[Hammer278]

I dont mind it oscillating between these 3...but never Murray please, never!!

Why not? I'd like Murray to be number 1 one day.

[Hammer278]

Nah...he's bearable but the British press will be a serious pain in the a**. The day a Brit wins Wimbledon or England wins the World Cup, is the last day on earth.

Excuse me? That is a bit of a wild accusation. I like Nadal's tennis. He fought hard, especially to actually win a set, but wasn't good enough on the day. I guess that is why he is number 2 and Novak is number 1.

He is the best player today and at the moment. Don't get over yourself. It is like saying Vettel is as good as Senna. Nonsense. Only time will tell if Djoković will be greater than the likes of Federer, Sampras etc.

Just wait and see...
