think he made a mistake in the lesmo bit.

I was thinking that too but I didn't see a mistake significant enough. Hmm...lucky for Lewis there. Hope he gets a good start tomorrow.

hope so, vettel will know to block him and probably weave about 5 times though, dont know how hes going to manage two mclarens though

The BBC bang on about the half-second gap, but it wouldn't have been that big had both McLaren drivers not made mistakes and given up the lap. :banghead:

As for Vettel, another great lap once again, great stuff with the slide round the chicane.

A non too shabby job from Vitaly Petrov, Bruno Senna and Paul Di Resta.

Pastor Maldonado still seems intent on trying to emerge from qualifying with a car not in one piece....

Haha I had a nice laugh when Pastor made that incredibly stupid mistake in Q1...the commentators were wondering how he managed that one.

Plus, I think McLaren found their limit in qualifying which is why both drivers overdrove their cars in the end. But I dont know why Lewis went out with hard tyres in Q2 wasn't it..that was just unnecessary.

Man i really wanted to see Senna try to improve on Q3, maybe see if he could get closer to Petrov.
Ohh well, here's hoping he has a good race tomorrow.
Vettel's powerslide was pretty cool, even if he most likely lost a couple laps on those tires because of that

He blamed it on the DRS, but it was curiously only himself that managed to pull off that strange incident.

Think Lewis wanted to try and save as many soft tyres as possible, so tried to see if he could get through Q2 without using any, but being in 7th and 8th at the time, it wasn't worth the risk. Especially after Spa, when Button had to spend the whole race climbing from 13th to 3rd, when he could've started 3rd in the first place.

And it may also be worth keeping an eye out for Jaime Alguersuari. The BBC commentary team keep pointing out that in the last 6 races or so, every driver that has started 18th has gone on to score points.

Really hope someone can challenge Vettel tomorrow.

Happy with 3rd for Button considering his problems last time around in qualifying and I think after he's reflected on his performance, Hamilton will be very happy with 2nd.

So disappointed with Webber, I know he's got an old engine and KERs was playing up again, but that gap is huge. His bad qualifying just keeps getting compounded with bad starts which is a shame when his actual race pace is so much closer to Vettel.

how comes ive heard nothing on the weather? says thundery showers what im reading...

The BBC reckon the day will start off sunny, but thundery rain showers will set in around 11am.

Other sources fluctuate between saying it will remain sunny all day and saying there'll be storms.

So, the picture is not clear.

Schumacher out qualified Rosberg, they were both on the harder tyres I think? Mercedes were very fast in the first sector, I suspect they compromised qualifying for the race and there is more pace in the car than they showed today.

Not too bad from Senna.

Another Vettel pole.

McLaren fairly close, anyone see Button's mistake for him to abandon his final lap?

Usual position in qualifying for Ferrari.

Vettel will probably take the win easy, with the McLaren's being out of reach of Ferrari, but other than that the race should be good.
