So you would put the lives of the grid at risk just for Iranian people? The country is on travel warnings for most Western countries so why would F1 want to go there? For the sake of the Iranians? Well they can do what other people of Europe do who's own country does not host a GP... travel to the GPs close by. There is 2 and as i said 2 Middle Eastern GPS is plenty for that region, where track patrons would predominantly be tourists anyway. Turkey a country that is more middle eastern than European struggled for attendances, it does not have the Tourism numbers the likes of AD and Bahrain do, both those Middle Eastern countries have invested vastly in tourism to sustain their economies. And of the two which you would consider the safest to travel to in the Middle East, one has had social uprising which caused the cancelation of their GP. Iran is not a stable country F1 should not go there until it is seen as such for the safety of the F1 paddock who are the ones who have to travel there, not TV spectators
Last time i checked the major terrorist attacks in the past 10 years happened in Spanish, British and American terrotories......... we have grand prixs with lax security. i mean real lax.
Your also lumping the middle east as one country, some of them really dont like each other and are completely different, even religiously.
Iran has a government, and isnt war torn, whats the prob? The middle east is a region not a single country too, seem to lump them all together.
Going to Afghanistan is a risk, Iran is a very up and coming country.
Coming from bill whos been to the region, not everyone hates westerners too.
On your chat with bill, and the australian flag, i dont think theyd have a problem with australia, maybe the union flag in the corner of it, unless of course you hoist that flag in Lebanon, which i hear dont quite get on with Australians.
