About time. It is a crime that Imola doesn't have an F1 race.

Imola and the A1 Ring. Pleeeeaaassseee let them be brought back!!!!

They're surely better than tracks as Sahkir! I hope that Imola will have a F1 race again. :)

Imola would be nice to see return again. Its more fun for drivers than it is for tv veiwers but still a good race to see return on the calender.

Another great thing about Imola and the A1 Ring is the surrounding scenery. Especially the latter. :cloud9:

I think Valencia want out of their contract so there could eventually be an opening there, however from a comercial point of view street circuits are good for corporate events and folk getting closer to the track. It'll all come down to the money, which is fair enough given that F1 is a business and not a sport.

I don't think any country should have two grand prix's myself.I like the circuit but why should the Italians get two ? or the Spanish for that matter
rant over :hehe:

Agreed, but technically it was the San Marino GP.

For the European GP, there will alway more than likely be a country that has 2 races. A fairer solution for the European GP may be the race alternating around 4 or 5 different circuits.

San Marino is its own nation state but so is the Vatican and well to me they are both Italian :hehe:

I always liked Imola, safety is important but it is shame they could not have retained some of the character Tosa and Tamburello had before the crashes. The old section from the start line to the Tosa hairpin was impressive.

I agree I think changing the track should be the LAST thing that needs to be done.

I always liked Imola; much better than Valencia and dare I say, Monaco? Maybe not a scenic but provides better racing, even more so with this years overtaking aids!

It was a bit of a knee jerk reaction but Senna's crash was a very high profile event so I guess the FIA/track owners had to be seen to be doing something to slow the Tamburello.
