I'm a great fan of the rockband Status Quo. They have some great songs about cars/racing. Those are: Driving to glory, Don't drive my car, Heavy traffic and Fighting with the pack. These songs can (and must) be used in F1 and other racing programs on tv imo, but sadly I never hear them. But my question is: Are there any other members on this board who also like the music of Status Quo?

Absolutely, I've been a fan since the '80s.

Their music wouldn't be used in F1 though, purely because they aren't known well enough outside of Europe, and they are often derided by people in the UK who know nothing about the actual music, just the image.

Didn't even know they're still active - after 45 frigging years! Dinosaurs! Anyway, I liked them a few decades ago, but have moved on to greener pastures long ago.

They played some years ago on the Silverstone-circuit after the Grand Prix. They also played a few years in Germany when there was a DTM-race. (don't know on which circuit). I think it's great to have them on events like this. Their music fitts with racing imo.
