Honestly, what is wrong with one team and driver dominating?

No offence but if you're even asking that question you either didn't witness 2002 or 2004 firsthand, or you're just watching the wrong sport. :hehe:

It's SO FREAKING BORING when you just know it's a given for driver x to win each race, and they go and do exactly that. It's not even a sporting contest when they just drive off into the distance each time - and so is not comparable to a lot of other sports in that respect.

2002 and 2004, no, actually 2000 to 2004 were some of the best years of F1. Well for at least 75% of F1 fans anyway.

2000 was good, 2001 was OK, 2002 was crap and boring and drove away many fans. Same for 2004. Awful times for the sport. Glad things are better now.

75%??? A massive overstatement if ever I saw one

Its not a massive statement. Most fans go for Ferrari so why would 2004 or 2002 drive away any of those fans. Ferrari fans might not be the majority on this forum, but this forum is not even 0.0001% of the world's F1 fans.

I'd like to see a source for the 75%.

As for people being turned away, I'd imagine that they are not F1 fans in the true sense and are just those that watch for only one driver/team or just occasionally watch. To me they have no say, it's the die hard fans who watch religiously that matter. A true die hard F1 fan will always watch no matter what (or maybe that's just me).

Certainly not just you! I mean, when was the last time McLaren dominated a season properly?

2002 and 2004 did make for some painful headlines for the sport though, you must admit. The press didn't half big the monstrous Ferrari domination up... :banghead:

McLaren last dominated in the late 80s and early 90s. They did have a winning car in 1998 and won the WDC but not the WCC in 1999. I bet you loved that. Fact remains there a far more Ferrari fans than any other team fans. I know you didn't like it when Ferrari were dominating, but I can tell you it is a better feeling than when anyone else dominates, including this Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull of now. But there is a ligher side to all this. Red Bull winnng pose no real threat to all of Ferrari's leading records. So if Ferrari cannot win for now, then let it be Red Bull. Although like I said before, I couldn't give a F... competely about Vettel winning or him. There is no glory in it. F1 with all its glory can only be and only always will be achieved with Ferrari and only Ferrari.

Trust me, most fans are not rooting for Ferrari. That is an ancient history. :D

There must be some seriously powerful meth in your part of the world.

Trust me AKR, it aint 75%. Nowhere near.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

You might want to take a broader view, the world is not only as you see it yourself.

I'm just going to rub this in further. Many, many people have Facebook or Twitter right? Well, what do you make of this sir?

You missed a bit - "Ferrari also have a principle brand Facebook page which is huge and my split the fan counts."

Nearly every poll i've seen puts Ferrari as the most supported team... but yeah, nowhere near the absurd 75% claimed here.

Yes I've seen that, but the score even when DOUBLED is still not even a majority on Facebook, let alone 75%. Ridiculous.

As for Twitter, their lead is minimal.

That twitter thing must be .0001 % of fans. As if mclaren and even red bull wud have more fans than Ferrari. And then I don't use twitter. I hardly use Facebook so I've never even placed a vote. I know many that don't use Facebook and twitter and out of the ones that do, no one has placed a vote on that link and most like f1 and Ferrari. So sorry that link you sent is no more than rubbish to me.

The reality is that most people by far go for Ferrari. Just look at merchandise. Ferrari stores are everywhere in the world, Ferrari products are sold everywhere in other stores that you go to. I don't see mclaren stores or mclaren products in other stores. There must be lots of Ferrari stores etc because demands for Ferrari goods are high. This can only be the Case because people want them and only Ferrari lovers would want them. The economics behind this scenario proves there are more Ferrari fans by far. Think about it, if there were many mclaren fans then demand for mclaren merchandise would be high and thus mclaren stores would be a camon place. Clearly not the case.

Btw isn't there a big 2 storey Ferrari store in London? :-) I know there is. And I know many passionate English Ferrari fans who even many times tease me for wearing Porsche jackets etc and that I'm a croak or something (some words they call Germans I don't know). Any all jokes but it shows that there are many big English fans of Ferrari. Who the he'll goes for mclaren in Italy? I don't think I've ever met any in Croatia or Slovenia but I woulnt be surprise if there were a few in the latter as Slovenes (some) can be stupid people.

Is it rubbish as Ferrari are not leading?

That tells me all I need to know.

Just because it is on something you don't use does not make it any less valid.

As for most people supporting Ferrari, well that's just :bs: . I could count the number of Ferrari heathens on here on one hand, the same goes for Red Bull, but I need more than one hand to count the number of McLaren heathens on this site alone. And I can say the same for another 2 that I have been/am active on.

Btw isn't there a big 2 storey Ferrari store in London? :-) I know there is.

Well according to Ferrari's website there is 1 store in London, and that's it for the UK. That is a fair old schlep for a pair of vastly overpriced drawers with a tiny Ferrari logo.
