Hamilton agreed with Kobayashi's assessment after reviewing the incident.

"After watching the replay, I realise it was my fault today 100 per cent," said Hamilton via his Twitter feed. "I didn't give Kobayashi enough room though, I thought I was past."

Ah well, that settles that. :D

Must be a fake Hamilton would never admit he was at fault it has to be someone elses fault remember? f1ea back me up here will ya!

Aw shuddup. It's definitely Lewis' official account. And, to be honest, I think he's being a bit hard on himself. His next tweet was "Apologies to Kamui and to my team. The team deserves better from me. Best wishes, Lewis."

I think they were planning to do one less pit stop than the Redbulls based on the blistering Vettel was getting. The tyres Vettel put on durning the safety car period stood up ok, so Vettel could simply go to the end of the race when he pitted for the harder tyres Ferrari were hoping that by putting Alonso on the hard tyres all he had to do was stay within 20 seconds of Vettel who'd need to do an extra stop.

It didn't work, Vettel didn't pit again, and Alonso was so slow that Webber and Button caught him up anyway. Ferrari haven't managed to get on top of these heating issues all year. I think they actually have a competitive car, when the air is at the right temperature for it to work. Maybe they were badly caught out by the Pirelli making their tyres more resistant.

Apparently Ferrari were the most vocal on preventing Redbull from changing their camber too, which is interesting consider how the off throttle blowing was allowed to slide by them (Ferrari).
You mean the Hamilton Kobayashi incident Scotty?

The second phase of the race was kinda boring though, it was exciting when they all looked on similar pace.

Hamilton says he is guilty! I just read it!

If he doesnt he'll be investigated at Monza before first practise starts!.

So he's lying is he?

How do you arrive at that? He's placating the stewards to pre-empt the next attack. How does that translate into a lie?

Well were you suggesting he doesn't thing he was guilty, he's just saying that for the Stewards sake?

The Stewards look at everything obviously, they just decided they had already decided it didn't need a penalty I think. It was pretty similar to the Lewis-Jenson incident in Canada wasn't it? Only without the spray.

Lewis's post race interview suggested he didn't know Kobayashi was there as well.

Hamilton has admitted he was in the wrong, he has admitted guilt. You say he is just saying this so that he doesn't get investigated whilst protesting his innoscence ergo he's telling fibs.

Likely he's looked at the external footage and has realised that he wasn't as far past Koby as he initially thought he was before he pulled to the left.

The incident was not investigated during the race and I sincerely doubt that it would be investigated prior to the Italian GP. He penalised himself so no input is required from the FIA. It's done and it's sorted itself out.

In my eyes, it was a racing incident. I never at any point blamed Kobayashi, and if anyone was more to blame, I'd say it was Lewis, but he didn't seem to notice Kobayashi by his side.

It was an infuriating retirement, from what was going to be a good result for the team. But things like that happen, and it's best that it doesn't cause too much feather-ruffling.

If anything needs to be dissected further, it's Maldonado's antics.

Really? IMHO that thread should be locked as it is getting nasty and nothing new or constructive is going to be established. The guy made a mistake, the pair were playing games, deal with it and move on. Both drivers have. That's my attitude on it anyway.

They've done that already. Appropriate punishments were dished out. It's being blown out of all proportion especially as the only one to be adversly affected was Mandy.

Well I didn't like his move or his attitude about the incident and Lewis' racing today. But this is all for the other thread, so thus it endeth. :irked:
