i reckon schumi and rosberg might fight for the win in monza andrew, the tifosi wouldnt mid that im sure.

I reckon you is dreaming! A nice dream, but it ain't going to happen. The Merc has the best top speed I believe but it is too harsh on its tyres.

The tifosi only have eyes for anyone in red. :hehe:

i always thought the lack off downforce and corners saved tyres at Monza????

and michael raced for them for 12 years and winning 5 championships straight, im pretty sure they wouldnt mind seeing him win.

Lots of overtakes to keep the race interesting. Shame we didn't get to see what Hamilton could have done. However he seemed to think they had too much wing on as others were driving away from him on the straights.
This win for Seb finishes off the drivers championship now IMO as he is now nearly 100 points ahead!

Another reason why I think Button is a great driver! He drove with damaged rear wing, one part of the race with damaged front wing, started far behind, finished on podium! Fantastic!

Dear God! I'm finding myself having to agree with Eddie Jordan on the Hamilton incident. :yikes:

Yeah...he must've said something crappy about Hamilton then.

Monza is also about taking the kerbs aggressively so teams like RedBull McLaren and Ferrari will be the top notch trio

Anyways congrats to RedBull getting a 1-2 and I think it's time to concede for those with a glimmer of hope Vettel has his second title. So congrats to him!

Monza isn't particularly hard on tyres. It's all about the brakes and a very efficient, low-drag package with the ability to ride kerbs well. The Mercedes does have good straight-line speed and today looked to have good traction, so I guess it depends on how they are under braking for the two chicanes, really. They might have a podium chance, though, and could even get ahead of one of the Red Bulls if they're very lucky, but I suppose that depends on how much better Red Bull's straight-line performance is when compared to last year.

Interestingly, Vettel can now finish in fourth place for all of the remaining races and win the title even if Webber won all seven of them. I think it's safe to say it's over.

To be fair, whilst I think Button is a great driver, the damage was insignificant. Massa carried more damage to his rear wing endplate in Hungary and it had little to no effect; it seems to be there more to comply with the regulations than to give any particular aerodynamic benefit (although I'm sure there is some, however minor). It was still a great drive, though!

Hammer, cheer up! It's your special day!:wavey:

No its not, yesterday was. And qualifying was more enjoyable than the race for me/ :D

IMO, DRS watered down this race. There was no racing in Spa to be honest.

Well there's a suprise.

Yeah...Hamilton on Sutil! And Button on 2 at the penultimate corners... Can't think of any other non-DRS moves.
