We'll see Mark Webber alongside Sebastian Vettel for another season with Red Bull next year.

Mark Webber will remain with Red Bull Racing for 2012 after signing a one-year extension to his contract.

The 35-year-old Australian has been with the team since 2007, having also driven for it during its Jaguar days in '03 and '04. All six of Webber's grand prix wins, his nine pole positions and 25 of his 26 podium finishes have come with Red Bull.

There had been speculation that he might consider changing teams or retiring after this year, particularly following suggestions of favouritism towards his team-mate Sebastian Vettel during last year's title battle and again at this season's British Grand Prix. But Webber said remaining at RBR was an obvious choice to make.

What?! But I though Webber was seriously unhappy with Red Bull and was fed up on them screwing him at every turn.

Leads me to the concusion that Webber is a spineless glutton for punishment or all the conspriacy theories are total :bs: . Personally, I think it is the latter.

I think 2012 will be Webber's final year and then he'll step aside for Ricciardo.

You Vettel fans aint half a spoilt bunch!, yet another year Vettel doesnt have to face up to the reality of being called a champion and having a top flight teammate to contend with, and all you want to do is moan at this free championship run webber gives Vettel by being a lapdog.

I reckon when Vettel does actually have an off year, dodgy car, or top teamie, its going to hit his fans like a brick wall, youve really never have it so good.

Much the same with you Hamiltonians and Kovi.......

Seriously? Of course he's going to stop winning as much, it's the natural run of things. It's not going to hit me like a brick wall, it's expected. Nice try though.

Actually thought Webber was going to beat Vettel today, as he was strong in all the practice sessions, but traffic prevailed.

But seeing him in the interviews you could see he seemed happier than he's been in recent times.

I have often said recently he'd be happier away from RBR, but if he wants to win, there were no other options this time round.

yeah because beating a double world champion and beating another world champion is the sane as webber.

course it wont hit you like a brick wall, youll dissappear as soon as you appeared when vettel got that rocketship to drive, or youll switch driver again.

Mark will retire after Red Bull it seems.
I didnt see any reason for him to leave, unless there was some noticeable foul play from the team. But RB have been pretty straight forward since they have been teammates: RB will focus around Vettel, because he is a much younger driver with more potential.

Furthermore... he has a WDC and Mark doesnt. That doesn't matter to me, but i'm sure to the team it does.

Either Mark accepts his role as it is, or he moves on to a midfield/back team and waste the rest of his career.

When did I say that? Back in the day I did and still do support Schumacher right from the start of his F1 career. Same as I have supported Vettel from the start of his time in F1.

You can claim all you like and insult all you like, it doesn't bother me in the slightest dear chap. Quite frankly, I couldn't give a damn. I support who I like, for reasons of my own and don't care how good or bad they are doing, they are still world class drivers, doing something much better than most of us can.
