lewis said his suspension was a bit damaged. Will they be allowed to fix that in parc ferme? Bet he'd have had pole without that. :banghead::banghead::banghead: MALDONADO :irked: never liked him much, definately gone down even lower now. When will we hear from stewards? Its worrying , cos lewis has his platinum card for the stewards and gets blamed for everything! It was his fault it rained!!

Damaged suspension eh? According to Autosport it was just the front toe-in possibly being slightly out. No real biggie given that McLaren felt it was ok to carry on without altering the tracking.

As for the platinum card for the stewards office, well you make your own luck don't you.

Why would Lewis move in? He has too much to lose - he's through to Q3 and needs the car intact! Even Hamilton is not that hot-headed, surely? Whereas Maldonado knew he was out, so any damage could be repaired before the race.

So why did his car quickly jink towards Maldonado?

Maldonado speaks:

...About what happened with Lewis. He slowed down a lot at the end of the session, so I tried to go past him. I then felt contact at the back of my car. I don’t really know what happened. It was a difficult moment.

Is that an admission of guilt. It was a difficult moment to accept getting past up on the last chicane..

Not impressed at all

:yikes: A reprimand for what? being hit by someone? Very poor if thats right.

Seems fair to me. All the information is in these 2 links and I didn't need Twiter!

Fairly close that one, Vettel seemed to have got over his poor (ish) form in the last few races and qualified well. Will probably start smoothly and take the race if its dry.

Anything can happen it it's wet, but all the teams seemed convinced the race would be try? Jenson said he's definitely on a dry setup, think Brawn said that too, they aren't even playing it coy.

The Lewis Maldonado incident was really strange. Maldonado pulled up briefly alongside Lewis and proceeded to take a line to cut either right into Lewis or in front of him. Lewis jinks the car to the right when Maldonado was alongside.

Alonso must've made a mistake in the last lap, or even the last two flying laps I think, didn't see it on camera.

Massa does fairly well, I guess third row is where Ferrari are in qualifying.

Very poor stuff from Mercedes with Schumacher there, and McLaren with Jenson.

Surprised at how fast Senna was, all the rookies this season seem to have good pace.

He moved to the right fairly sharply when Maldonado was along the right hand side of him (Hamilton).

I use real websites as they have details. Twitter was so quick that you only had a rumour. A quick glance at the FIA website had all the details. I have a severe aversion to Twitter, Facbook and the like, but I digress.

Hamilton getting a reprimand will be either coming out of the final corner when he barged Maldonado out the way or it will be for the jink towards Maldonado just before Maldonado hit him.

As I said earlier without seeing the on-board footage from both cars, it is dificult to know for sure what exactly happened. The BBC showed the incident from slightly ahead and behind (which showed heehaw).

What does Hamilton do at 30 seconds when Maldonado is along side?

It wasnt a rumour it was the truth (it was also posted on the bbc sports website as it is linked to twitter so i saw it on both sites...

And in the final corner lewis was ahead wasnt he?! and you use the word barge it was a tap :hehe: and i believe that jink was him just him driving around the track minding his own business

Funny how we all view things differently :P

People see what they want to see, theres more then enough on here that only need the letter H in a thread title to use it as an excuse to say something about him....unforuntate but meh, shouldnt and doesnt bother me.

He did move to the right though, but whats the problem with that, its debatable and i want to see an onboard of lewis that that jink was him returning or even following the racing line or not driving straight for that wall that comes up, and veers right mind.

But a reprimand, how many times have we seen fights to get infront and so in qualifying and its just the norm, contact too, i dont know what Hamiltons been reprimanded on, but whatever it was it wasnt even enough for trigger happy stewards to penalise so hes obviously not done much.

Neither do i think Maldonados penalty was light, it was exactly as deserved, hes probably already been bollocked by the FIA and the Williams top dogs.

I know what happened to Schumacher's car. It was the golden helmet. Just ask Alberto Ascari what fate awaits you when you change the colour on your lucky helmet.

Schumey has been the most superstitious driver in F1 since his rookie season. Apart the orange helmet, he has to have an odd-numbered car and always he carries a lucky charm his wife gave him and his daughter's first hairbrush. So the instant I saw his commemorative helmet in FP1, I knew calamity awaited him. I don't recall ever having seen an F1 car slide so far. He was incredibly lucky not to have been harmed. He can thank the "nerf circuits" for that.

And I hope the FIA sack whomever's job it was this weekend to tell Vettel his reign has ended.
