I think it's a bit harsh for people to criticise Bernie and want him out. What has he ever really done wrong? The only real fault I see in him is that he's a bit greedy, but nobody's perfect. Bernie doesn't make the rules like Max Mosley does, Bernie owns the sport and the FIA runs it.

Bernie was one of the people who tried to stop the Indy 2005 fiasco from happening, he tried to talk Max into allowing the proposed temporary chicane to be installed at the final turn, but we all know what happened... Max said no, the Michelin runners boycotted, the rest is history.

F1 really would fall apart if Bernie left, and let's hope he doesn't anytime soon.

Good post. Ecclestone is not so much of a problem, indeed, Formula One would not be where is today without him. Yes, he's slightly greedy, but the real problem is the FIA.

yeah you're right, i've been a bit harsh, he made formula 1 be what it is right now, without him we wouldn't have all this success, TV programs, and all that stuff today! on the other hand, without so much money around, F1 could have been better though....

I'll admit that the cost of F1 has sort of eliminated the days when 20 teams would turn up for a Grand Prix weekend and 26 cars would start the race, but if this "cost cutting" scheme the FIA have come up with works (and Sheffield Wednesday win the Champions League ) then things might get even better.

this petition will have no effect whatsoever on the FIA but the reason i have not signed is I don't see any reason for bernie to resign. Max could be run over by an 18 wheeler for all I care

It means they should resign from the WMSC (I think) and not their ordinary jobs.

Brenie only takes half of the yearly intake of F1.....Brenie and Mad-max should just leave F1
I also sign the petition.
