Kovy is easily going to McLaren,
I think it will be strange though. He seemed to form a bond with Renault, and it always seemed like he wanted to stay with the team that brought him into the sport.
It will be just odd seeing him in McLaren's outfit.

I remember seeing Kimi in Rosso Red for the first time, boy did that look wierd...

From autosport.com:

Kovalainen not surprised by Renault exit

By Jonathan Noble Tuesday, December 11th 2007, 16:28 GMT

Heikki Kovalainen has said he was not surprised about Renault's decision to drop him for 2008, after revealing he is mulling over two other options to remain in Formula One next year.

The Finn impressed in his debut season with Renault, claiming his maiden podium finish in the wet Japanese Grand Prix at Fuji and outscoring more experienced teammate Giancarlo Fisichella.

But it is understood that his speed ultimately cost him the chance of staying on board at Renault, because the returning Fernando Alonso did not want a teammate to pose the kind of challenge that he faced with Lewis Hamilton at McLaren this year.

That decision has left Kovalainen hunting for a drive elsewhere. But although most teams have already decided on their line-ups, he remains strongly linked with possibilities at McLaren, to replace Alonso, and also Toyota - where he could be granted a seat at the expense of Jarno Trulli.

Speaking to Finnish television channel MTV3, Kovalainen had said he was still weighing up the offers on the table.

"This was something we could expect," he said about Renault's choice of Alonso and Nelson Piquet Jr. "For some time we have been going through other options.

"Renault made this kind of a decision, but luckily there are two other options with interesting offers."

Alonso is such a BIG TIME cheat, Alonso should be ashame to call himself a sportman.

Where do people think he will go next year?

Where do people want him to go?

Personally, i'd like to see him go to Toyota and lead the team rather than go and waste his talent being Hamilton's rear gunner at McLaren...

Honda. I think Honda will grow with Ross Brown. It's a good place to be for a young driver. But since he is not Allonso, I think he would do fine at McLaren as well. Not that McL will not push LH as their No1, but HK's ego is smaller than FA's, so he should be able to cope with that. In the next year or two, I think he would do better as No2 at McLaren than equal at Honda, anyway.

But much as I know, Honda has both drivers confirmed for 2008..?

Yes, but a theory is they could punt someone out of Aguri and dispatch Rubens there. Who is only sticking around to beat that record, nothing to do with racing anymore.

Yeah, and Ross Brawn has said there is nothing wrong with the current driver line-up.

I'm hoping Honda will have a year similar to Red Bull in 2007. It's probably too early to start pulling in a big name as the car is not ready yet.

Even 2009 might be too soon as Ross's magic wont have effected the 2008 car.

I'm expecting Honda to have a solid 2 years of gaining some respectability and landing an "X-Factor" driver for 2010.

God forbid that we get into the X Factor / strictly come dancing mode of choosing F1 drivers. Can you imagain the applicants for such a show? --- " I know how to do it mate, when the lights go out its mirror, signal, manouver , let the hand brake off, and watch out for cyclists" Perhaps they could invite Jade Goody to enter!!!! or not as the case may be! The mind boggles.

LOL, phone lines would be open at the end of each race to vote drivers out of the season...

Kimi Raikonnen standing in front of Simon Cowell being told that overtaking move on Hamilton was CRAP, and that he expects better next time... (To the boo's of the audience)...

Kimi would just look unfazed and not interested on what Simon Cowell thinks and says.
