Basically it is yet another Barichello throwing the toys out of the pram session. He did it at Ferrari, he did it at Brawn and now he is doing it at Williams. Actually, credit to him for waiting this long before he starts sulking. I read a couple days ago that he was moaning about being a development driver. What else does he expect? He's the experienced driver in a team who are struggling. Of course he's going to be a development driver!

Barichello is long past it. Time for him to retire and let someone younger, faster and infinitely more talented take his place.

Agreed. His whining is a real pain in the neck, and he should've buggered off the same year DC did. DC knew when he was past it, but this guy has some issues.

Before b**hing about the team, look at your teammate...he's a pay driver and he's kicking your a*se mate.

I can understand why Rubens feels aggrieved; if he is getting all the development parts constantly and it's affecting his race pace while Maldonado is getting the older proven (faster) parts that is somewhat unfair but moaning about it to the press doesn't help the situation. Realistically he is a #2 driver, good second driver but no team leader, time to retire old man!

I'm thinking Bruno Senna might be an interesting driver to put alonsgside Maldonado, he never set the world alight in the HRT but the HRT was piss poor, Williams will be step up!

I have a hunch Williams might sign Sutil.

I have a feeling that Williams will opt for another pay driver, doesn't Senna have backing from a big Brazilian company?!?! or maybe Nico Hulkenberg will get another chance!

If he wasn't gettng all the development parts first then he would probably still be complaining.

Why do I get the feeling I'm not going to like the outcome of this? :(

Because you're a Barrichelloinian?

F1 felt a strange place after Michael retired, then again when DC retired.. It will feel even stranger after Rubens retires. :(

All I'll feel is "good ridance". I'm fed up of this has been/never was bitching about team after team in the media.

When Schumacher retired it was an end of an era kind of thing but Barrichello is just another F1 journeyman.

IMO, Rubens remains one of the nicest guys in the paddock. He's done really well to last this long in F1, but if he leaves Williams, I doubt there's much available to him, especially at the front.

His remaining time with Williams may finally be his swansong.

It will be weird when Rubens retires, I have only been following F1 for a few years and I saw DC's last race and it was sad to see his career end. I will feel sad when/if Rubens leaves Williams, which I am sure will happen.

I think Williams will take Sutil, I think he would fit better there rather than Williams having Maldanado only having one year of experience and someone like Bruno, who is a good driver and only half(ish) a year experience. Sutil might have some amount of money behind him, but I would hope that the Williams team would go for someone with experience. Also, Williams shouldn't be struggling for money with the hybrid technology branch and links to Jaguar.

Senna has sponsorship from i (think it's called) Embratel. Couldn't see Hulkenburg wanting to go back to Williams after they dropped him like that, but surely he'll be in talks with Force India for next year, hence why i think Sutil might move - i reckon he'd suit the bill needed should Williams drop Barrichello (ie i decent bit of experience and speed). Can't see why they'd sign another pay driver over an established driver, when they have essentially said Maldonado brings enough sponsorship.
