Does anyone else have internet friends that they've never met but who feel like best pals? My longest internet not met pal is Wishy

My first forum account was on the SpeedVision (Now SPEED) forums in 2003. I didn't want to be boring and use my regular name. I wanted something F1-ish... "Carbon Fiber" was already taken, so I took "Wishbone".. My friends call me "Wishy"

I joined the same forum in April of 2003, so wishy and I have been internet friends for 8 years. As internet friendships go, we rock. We have so many inside jokes twoface!, hot baths, f11, the list goes on.

I've met a few peeps on here that I would consider friends too.

I have a few internet friends that I've never met; a few I met through Wireplay (online gaming) back in the mid-late 90s, we still converse regularly. A little more recent, a friend that I met through mySpace, I was eDating a woman from the US (not my wife) and things started to get a little strained by the distance and this friend started messaging me because she was in a similar situation and we still regularly talk on the phone or over Skype. Normally I don't make close friends on the Internet unless there is a chance of meeting, hence why most of my friends on mySpace & Facebook I either known in person or live close so we can meet!

Hello WB me old mate! I have this sick Auntie who I have never heard of until I read your post who is in desperate need of a new wasamajigwhosananny. She lives in a remote village in outer Mongolia that was only discovered 10 minutes ago and was injured during the local donkey derby. They only started racing donkeys very recently (today I think) and have yet to develop the sport to the required standard by the FIA. The local doctor thought it was a broken collar bone but she was later found to have a shattered wasamajigwhosananny in the upper left ventricle. Sadly she will have to come to the UK to for the transplant to be performed by a Harely Street specialist who has a feer of flying. I know you are a charitable fellow and I know I can depend on you. If you send me your credit card details I will send you details of my Nigerian bank account and we can end my Aunties suffering.

There can be internet friends but its hard to trust.Though i have an internet friend that i trust more than some people in real life.I used to play Club Penguin few years ago and in 2008 i registered to a CP forum.I met a girl from another country but we got along so well in a year then i added her to facebook now we are like pals.I would like to meet her one day.She said shes coming to Turkey.
