Who is this?

Correct, you go! That was far too easy!

DD, since when was Hugh Hefner an F1 driver? He's got far more interesting things to occupy his time with.

Pure dumb luck. I was beating Wikipedia to death over DD's damned question, found my way to "Scottish F1 Drivers" through Jackie Stewart and remembered the picture.

Both made their debut at the Brazilian GP. Herbert in 1989 and Senna in 1984.

Both racers took part in 161 Grands Prix. However, they also ended their F1 careers in similar circumstances.

Each of their final races (Ayrton's was Imola, 1994 and Johnny's was Sepang, 2000) they crashed heavily due to mechanical failure.

The only difference being, of course, that Senna's was fatal.

Herbert was carried to the 1st F1 car he drove (he had done his ankle in an could not walk, but did not want to miss the test) He was also carried away from the car in his last race

Yes I know that is not the answer to the question but I have been watching QI and they get points for stuff like this.

It were both ankes that he smashed in the F3000 race.

You would only get half a point for missing one of his ankles. :hehe:

Not exactly sinister, more morbidly coincidental.
Think literally.

They were/are both left handed.

They both raced for Eddie Jordan in F3. That is extremely sinister!

Did they? I thought Senna raced for another team and it was Brundle who raced for EJ.

Dammit! Just checked. Being left handed is sinister though.
