18 races a year, shorter season, less costs, MORE entertainment. Vote me for FIA presidency. :hehe:

Well lets just hope sky take Bahrain, Abu Dabi Valencia and Catalunya.

NOT! Silverstone, canada, Spa,

Is Silverstone 8th of July? I thought it was later than that-12th/13th?

My concern is Monza and Spa, which two of my favourite races, but which are usually together in the calendar. I'm praying the BBC show them both, but I doubt 2 weekends in a row is likely... :(

I will be so annoyed if Sky gets one of Spa, Monza and Suzuka love all 3 of those tracks and they give great racing.

Sky can have the borefests of Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Valencia, Barcelona and Hungary for a start thats 5 of the 10.

And why did they have to drop Turkey one of the best tracks and always gives a good race. They should of just got them to advertise the race more so more fans would of went. But then again Bernie has no brains he just thinks about money.

Quite oxymoronic, don't ya think? :P

Very... Bernie is highly intelligent, that's the problem... he doesn't have a sentimental bone in his body, he operates from a point of pure financial logic, maybe he's part Vulcan?!?!

If Turkey goes then it is a sensible decision. The track is a bit of a loss leader for CVC so it is understandable why it would be dropped. Sentiment has no place in business.

I wouldn't say MrE has no brains. He's a multi billionaire - you generally don't haul yourself upto that level of wealth by having no brains (anatomically having no brains makes no sence). By that logic what does that make the rest of us non-billionaires?!

As long as there are countries with lots of $$$ to spend; then no GP is safe; despite having contracts, the likes of Silverstone, Spa, Monza, Albert Park and Suzuka could lose their GP due to financial restrictions, governments are less willing to make up the shortfall to hold a GP these days because there is little to no economic benefit to the city/country where the GP is being held!

There is no such thing as a nice businessman; even if they give an outward impression of being nice... you don't become super rich by being nice [unfortunately]!!!

Although I'm all for retaining Silverstone instead of Donington. Great circuit, and so much money has just been spent on it. Looks great.

Silverstone is WELL better than Donnington for an F1 GP.
