I suspect so. I was lurking on crash.net last night. I dodn't read all the comments on this, there were something like 200 of them! I posted my own thoughts and read the pge my comment was on. Another user had posted a comment stating that the comments in support of this were clearly Sky employees. Probably meant as a joke but that and the comment by this Roonalderson have got me thinking. Sky is part of the evil Murdoch empire so I wonder if employees have been told to infiltrate forums and post supportiive comments. More than likely it's a conspiracy theory and as such total but you never know.

Also appears you like to repeat points made earlier too.

So after BBC gives us great F1 coverage for 2 years and it returns to where it belongs and with no adverts at all. The show won awards in 2010 and 2009 I believe they must make money by selling their commentary on it. They get 10 million viewers for some races the highest F1 has gotten for a long time. And what do they do they decided to only show half the races after all the good things that have gone for it and why to save 17 million.

How can BBC be so thick to do this after the Awards the high viewers just for the sake of 17 million. Heck Wimbledon gets a percentage of what F1 gets on BBC and they near enough cost the same. Wimbledon is just 1 month where as F1 is all year round. Very bad decision from the BBC and they will not be forgiven.

When who is going to want to watch half a season who came up with that stupid idea.

Why don't you suggest that when TV licensing come knocking on your door? The BBC gets you in every way, you can't even buy a computer these days without a letter from TV licensing!

· Serena Williams fourth Ladies' Singles title (bt Vera Zvonareva) was watched by an average audience of 2.3m

· Andy Murray's biggest audience was in the semi-final with an average of 5.6m, peaking at 7.1m

· 250 hours were transmitted on BBC1, BBC2, and the HD Channel

· 500 hours were transmitted via the Red Button

I wouldn't put anything past any employee of the Murdoch Empire, it is run by an extremly currupt management who will do anything to get what they want. Only need to look at the current hacking scandel.

And wouldn't you know it it's been removed by the mods for breaking house rules
I didn't accuse him of any thing or use bad language or racist remarks

I had a look at some of the comments under Gallop's blog and noticed a few have been removed. Obviously this has evoked a lot of ill feeling but deleting comments (unless they are littered with foul language or threats of physical violence) looks suspicious to me.

I may start operating the same policy here and abuse my mod privileges; I'll delete anything I don't agree with... Disagreeing with the BBC is clearly against House Rules...

Im suprised at how many comments there are on it not far from 5000....but it shows how much British f1 fans are against the deal that has been made...its just a shame that there is nothing we can really do about it since its been signed and sealed

I left a comment on Ben Gallop's blog at 15.50 today. Along with six others left at much the same time, it is still "awaiting moderation". Another 500 posts have been made since and appeared, do you think they have forgotten us? Or are they ignoring us and hoping we will go away? The count is well over 5000 now.

The only person to make any remark was Martin Brundle ( I bet he was up before the producer for doing that) A hilarious moment came when Jake introduced the "F1 News" which strangely didn't seem to have time to mention the two hottest news storys, the TV debate and the fact that the FIA's engine guy (who interprets the rules and know a lot about envery manufacturer's engine plans) is leaving, - to join an engine company!!!

Whoever agreed this deal simply doesn't understand what being a fan means. Formula 1 is a story constructed over a season, not a collection of separate, unconnected races. No real fan could cope with only watching half the races in a season. So what this deal does is cynically milk genuine F1 fans for enormous amounts of money to watch on Sky. F1 fans tend not to have Sky already because of the sheer diversity of the fanbase - women, students, older people - who are not necessarily into other sports like football and cricket. So, all of these people (like me) will be faced with the choice of paying £40+ per race or giving up on F1 altogether.

Poor, poor decision by the BBC. Better to have given up the rights entirely than this.

Its the biggest blog that i have ever seen (the amount of responses that have been given) this just shows how passionate the british f1 fans are...its close to 5100 now

Hi All

There seems to be mixed feelings regarding the recent change to the broadcasting of F1 from next year, but here is my thoughts.

I am a big F1 fan and so is my dad, and neither of us can afford the extra to pay to get Sky Sports. I’m with Virgin and it will be an extra £15 a month and my dad only has freeview, so it will be approx £30-40 for him. If this deal is changed, me, my dad and millions of other F1 fans, could lose the chance to see the full F1 season or be forced to pay extra.

As this has really upset me and my dad, I have decided to start a petition. I understand this will take a lot of signatures and backing to get it changed, but we need to stand up to them, they’ve already taken most sport and unlike football fans, a lot of F1 fans like myself don’t watch football, so therefore don’t already have Sky Sports and if we could afford, we wouldn’t get the benefit.

Please help me and fellow F1 fans to keep the full F1 season available free to all by signing my petition.

It would be nice to see F1 drivers step up and state for the record that they will not give any interviews to Sky next year.
