We don't need VW in F1; we have Mercedes, Ferrari, Renault and likely McLaren will start making their own engines by 2014 and become an outright manufacturer team as well as Cosworth with their one remaining team next season, how long before HRT fold or move away from Cosworth? At least Cosworth have F1 pedigree and a passion for racing, unlike VW it seems!

There's a world outside of F1 you know... It seems they've got passion enough for Le Mans. I don't see anyone complaining about Mercedes or Ferrari not fielding an LMP1 car. So let's look at why there was a mass exodus of manufacturers from the sport the last few years before we jump to conclusions shall we?

True we should look at the reasons WB, but in defence of MOA, in this instance, in the article the big wigg talks about Market Presence... Anyone who wants to get into Formula 1 should be talking about team building and competing to win in the Pinnicle of motorsports. I know that advertising and exposure is key.. ask Marlboro, but VW seems flippant when they talk, like F1 is there only to serve them. They are like Bret Farve, but at least he has a desire to play. VW, for the moment, needs to shut the Front door!!
