They're currently a tremendously profitable big automobile manufacturer with record earnings... they've got to do SOMETHING with all the mounds of cash.

It seems they don't care about racing and only care about their presence in the Marketplace and we know how that goes. If they don't have a passion for winning, then I would assume they would only devote a few years, and when they get tired, just up and leave. And leave us hanging with a bunch of old BMW gear for a team that does not exist..
