Nope, he didn't win, a few more laps and he might have got closer, it was a brilliant drive IMO.

How many did he pass on track not including DNFs, and overtakes in the pits. Not to mention he lucked out with the SC deployment just after he pitted. Good result from where he started but nothing outstanding, just ask DC.

DCs drive was badass...started dead last (after qualifying on POLE), stuck behind a bloody Arrows for like half the race, end result - 5th.

Spa 95 was pretty good. Schumacher 16th to 1st and to top it all, Hill went crying to the stewards for being raced firmly, but fairly. Loved it!

No, that was Vettel's ingenius way of trying to get the KERS to work. There, I said it before the andrew guy.

The digs come from the same old boring suspects who just can't stand the style in which Lewis won, simply outdriving No.2 and No.3 of Nurburgring.

I don't have anything against Vettel either, but calling one of his more miserable drives a 'Champions' drive is the biggest joke I've seen in this forum.

I think it was called a Championship drive not a champions drive or it should have been. It was clearly a drive about damage limitation when he could have easily reverted back to boy racer mode and try to win, wrecking the car or wasting an engine in the process. You can't win them all and Vettel seemingly knows this and that is why his drive should be applauded. Ok it wasn't his best drive but it was a mature and measured drive all the same.

No doubt I will get some sarky assed reply from this Hammer278 person but hay-ho.

No it's not sarcasm at all. He drove a very mature and sensible race. So what if he spun the car round? He is still a young guy with a lot to learn and they all have their bad days (who was it that went 2 races with trying to drive through people?).

It was a champions drive as he clearly knows that he doesn't have to risk the car and take it easy. The drive was that of a thinking driver rather than a boy racer. You can't win them all and he surely knows that.

Guess I look like a Jenson fan now, to keep up appearances Alonso in Australia 2010 was pretty good.

Japanese GP 1998. Schumacher qualified on pole, stalled and then started from the back. Ended up 3rd and his tyre exploded causing him to retire. Didn't finish the race but still a great recovery.

I'd love to see great drives like that from Vettel for the next handful of GPs... it would convert many.

It would be good and if it was earlier in the season I'm sure there would be some risky moves. At this late stage with a lead like he has it would be daft, but entertaining, to play a risky game like that.
