His mistake, braking on the grass was caused from taking a risk. He was pushing hard to catch Alonso at that point, trying to place the car that extra little bit wider to gain speed.

Maturity in what? Life or Racing? Because Sportsmen are some of the most sheltered, immature people you can ever meet.

To me Age is no excuse for ssucking or kicking bottom. You come to turn the wheel, step on the pedals, give me my feedback and win the race.... whether you want to be Sean Connery at the end of the day that is up to you.

When his engineers told him in the lines of "think of the bigger picture", rather than going all gun-ho on them and telling them his job was to step on the gas....... Vettel kept his head, and ended up gaining a freebie position, instead of explaining at stewards office how "Massa turned in on me".

The digs come from the same old boring suspects who just can't stand the style in which Lewis won, simply outdriving No.2 and No.3 of Nurburgring.

I don't have anything against Vettel either, but calling one of his more miserable drives a 'Champions' drive is the biggest joke I've seen in this forum.

Well, exactly. But that's the point. BOTH situations would have ended up being a good day, considering the situation.

Oh yeah... far from a champion drive! (who said it was?? let's slap him!) it was an average, weak weekend for Vettel. But in the end, i think he got the most out of that situation. With a bit of luck.

Yeah, Vettel is a nice Chap. We Hamilton fans like him like a little brother. Funny, cheerful, fast, but not really a threat to us when the cars are equal.

Vettel said he was not fully satisfied with his setup in Germany, he never felt 100% comfortable. Vettel is an amazing driver and has still lots to learn, give him time and he will be one of the greats. Vettel is #1 for the way he handles himself both on and off the track.

The irony is that Vettel will go back to his usual pole and start to finish lead and win in Hungary and we'll still be having the same arguments. Why oh why can't we have a GP2 style race at the end of the year to settle it all.

Interestingly, only one of those 4 drivers has gained more than 15 places in a race. Fernando who gained 18 places in a single race.

Nope, he didn't win, a few more laps and he might have got closer, it was a brilliant drive IMO.

Nope, it was Monaco last year. Kimi was superb in this stat though. As you correctly mentioned Susuka '05 - where he gained 16 positions, and, he actually gained 19 places in Bahrain in '06 as well. I think Susuka '05 was Alonso's first race as a double World Champion.

18 places in Monaco is no feat to be taken lightly.

You're right about Suzuka 2005, it was an all guns blazing from Kimi and Alonso as the WDC was done with. A top 5 classic in modern F1.
