I guess passing cars after a rookie spin is not really worthy of admiration Andrew, the fact is he could find no way past Massa for majority of the race.

+1
The only thing you could relate to champions in that drive was the spin because Schumi did a similar one. Maybe its a hint of what is to come  (i dont mean failed comeback)

Just watched the race again last night, I recorded it on SPEED since at least they showed the full post race interview unlike FOX. Two key moments gave Lewis his victory in Germany, one, passing Alonso on the outside while the Ferrari was still squirrely on cold tires. Two was the perfectly timed McLaren call to bring him on to the hard compound. otherwise it would have been Ferrari on the top step of the podium.

Taken from a quote of yours from another thread..

So which is it? Did he drive a safe and mature race and try and secure the points? Or did he 'silence his critics' through his 'array of passing moves'.. You seriously must have been watching another race mate. No offense but can you name me one single move he pulled off?

I honestly can't remember him 'passing' anyone except Alonso (LOL)? He started in fourth on the grid.. Lost the position to Alonso on the first lap. He gained the position back on Lap 4 only when Alonso ran wide on the tarmac going into turn 2.. Can you explain to me how that is overtaking wizardry exactly? Not to mention Alonso regained that spot several laps later .. Then the German 'master' had a spin at Turn 10.. Then got stuck behind Massa for about FIFTEEN laps and couldn't pass him. He only passed him due to the superior Red Bull pit team.

Is this meant to have 'silenced' me? :bs:

I actually quite like Vettel generally - and he's even admitted he hasn't had the best weekend.. So why have you chosen his worst result/race of the year as supposed evidence of his great passing ability :confused:

I'd love to hear your evidence of his passing ability.. Without being told to 'watch the race again'...

I just am bewildered.

I don't need to name any passes and have no intention of doing so. You should have been watching the race. If you don't understand why it was a championship drive then you never will. Aside from one mistake is was a steady and mature drive. He could have acted the boy racer and tried to play catch up but there is no point doing that when you don't need to win. Quite similar to some of Alain Prost's drives now that I think about it.

If you give me a red bull I can overtalke too :iroc: ... but
to which overtakes are you reffering to?
Anyway what i saw was a poor perfomance for a champion!
If he is racing alone in the front he is quite fast but if someone push him hard or if he is back on the grid he is a disaster... button, rosberg, kombayashi and even massa are far better drivers than him(my oppinion)
all we know about him is that he is faster in qualy, than webber although webber had his worst year with too many misfortunes and kers braking down always at his car!
 he 's no true champion :nono:

I've seen much worse performances from so called champions this year. One spin and then a brake problem isn't teh best but it is far from being the worst. At least he didn't have any contact with anyone. The problems at Red Bull are not always with Webber. Vettel has had his share, albeit not at such crucial times but to think that Red Bull are deliberately knobbling Webber is stupid. But away you go, jump in a Red Bull and I'll sit and watch and laugh. I would say he is a truer champion than some.

This is a JOKE. Talk about grasping at straws, its almost like you know how off track you are but simply skirting around everyone's questions. Whatever man, anything which floats your boat.

I distinctly remember you huffing and puffing after qualifying here saying that you have no access to internet, and by WEdnesday the 'Vettel can't race from behind' threads would've died down, etcetc, I believe it's in this very thread!....basically admitting you already knew he won't do well. And guess what, he spun like a rookie and ended up fourth.

Then you come and try and convince yourself and others (unsuccessfully) that it was a "Champions" drive....OMFG. The Ram has some serious competition now.

No it is not a joke, it is an opinion which yuou seem to habve an inability to respect. :nono:

No one was huffing and puffing about anything, at least not earlier in the week. Just me pre-empting the various scenarios. If you can't see the sarcasim then that's up to you. One mistake in an otherwise faultless drive. It happens to them all, just some seem to get more flak than others.

I don't need to convince myself of anything at all pal. If you can't respect others opinions then there is no point in this discussion is there? Done with you.

But you are so right. Vettel is the worst champion ever, in fact he is the worst thing to ever happen to F1 and is the devil incarnate.

I dont see the need to respect your opinion when you dont seem to have any respect for others' simple questions. Lame answers like "Go watch the race again" or "if you cant see it I cant help you" with no facts backing it up, and simply ignoring the FACTS posted by others is just, pretty damn lame.

Done with you as well. And quit being a drama queen, I never bashed vettel at all, I just said it didnt look like a Champs drive to me. If this makes you lose sleep tonight, I am very sorry.

Did you miss him cutting the chicane ?

there was a few more than one !

Considering he was up Massa's back at the time there would have been no front downforce. Hardly surprising that anyone would cut the chicane in that situation. Not really a mistake just one of those things that was bound to happen to a few at that point.
