I wanted to see MSC do better today, but he spun and lost a bunch of places.

Talk about protege, Schumacher's & Vettel's spins looked like carbon copies.

MIchael's was a sweet drift though, before he lost it.

Actually he has a thing with that corner. I remember he was once following Rubens when both were in Ferrari in the all conquering F2001 or F2002 (can't recall) and he spun in exactly the same manner while chasing his teammate! And in this instance, it was Rosberg in the Merc. Hmm..

He doesn't like staring at his teammate's exhausts I reckon...but who does. :hehe:

Hamilton! What an incredible drive. The McLaren was really suited to the conditions and Lewis was in supreme form this weekend. Best driver on the grid today. Here's to hoping the second half of the season is a little closer. It's been a fantastic season so far as the quality of driving/battles have been greater than ever; it's just that Vettel's dominance has overshadowed that. Bring on Hungary next weekend!

Top drive from Lewis Hamilton today; massively quick through the first sector all race long; didn't have the fastest car but won the race! Mark Webber must be bemused; started in pole and somehow came home in third after the pit stops; I bet that RB are scratching their head on that one. Another solid drive from Fernando Alonso, The Ferrari is coming on strong, shame that Vettel jumped Massa in the final pit stop; no-one can blame Massa for that one; the Ferrari pit crew weren't fast enough allowing Vettel to jump Massa in the pits. A special mention has to go to Adrian Sutil who qualified well and brought the Force India home in sixth place, recently overshadowed by his rookie team mate Paul di Resta; he answered his critics today. Another solid drive from Kamui Kobayashi to finish in ninth after starting 17th, I would love to see the Japanese in a really competitive car, while the Mercedes duo claimed a few more points!

Obviously being a Jenson Button fan I am disappointed; a second retirement in a row that was not of his own making...

Awesome drive for Lewis, like Canada was probably Buttons best drive ever, this was Lewis's. And it was in a car that is currently inferior to the Red Bull and Ferrari and on a dry track. He certainly made up the difference in the car, with Button being nowhere all weekend. I expect the status quo will return when we get back to hotter track temps but was nice seeing Hamilton winning again.
It does make me laugh when the media start all these stories when another driver other than Vettel wins a race, that the current winner is now on for the championship. Vettel actually has to retire from a number of races and only one driver to regularly capitalise for a realistic challenge. Its not surprising Red Bull are saying there is no need for them to panic yet. It is worrying for them in terms of Webber as its been a few times now where he has been at the front and not been able to capitalise, and this on a circuit he does well at.

Fine fine race. Makes me want to smooch a kiss on Bernie's forehead :)

Woahh! That image is just... I'm speechless

:hehe:

He's not a bad driver, he's just not good enough to be in a McLaren.

I see it this way, the top 3 teams need drivers who are exceptional, not the norm of very very good drivers which F1 deserves. In that perspective, I think Massa, Button and to a certain extent, Webber are not really the exceptional ones. I feel more strongly only about Jenson, since he is occupying the seat of the team I support. He is definitely a worthy F1 driver, maybe in a Renault or Mercedes class type of driver.

I don tknow about this. First of all... the 3 guys you've just mentioned have shown they can fight for it; and second... you dont know exactly how much in or out of 'the norm' they are.

What is wrong with Vettel? He drove terribly today, way too many mistakes and way too timid. On the first lap he could have taken Alonso, but backed out in corner 3/4. Later in the race with Massa he was also too sheepish. I suppose it was damage limitation from the poor quali.

Obviously wasnt comfortable with how the car felt. The temps were really low. I saw an interview with Perez and he was freezing cold (obviously an exaggeration) but that goes to show how cold it actually was. Everybody was locking tires under braking and several more were slidingly slidey. For a Red Bull driver, that must have been a weird experience considereding that car has been PLANTED all season.

How cool would it have been if Schumacher had saved that spin??

The save of the year so far has got to go to Rosberg doing his high speed straight wobble at Silverstone. Alonso had a pretty wild save this weekend in qualifying or was it in practice... but the on board video is here somewhere.

What about Kobayashi power-sliding in Canda qualifying?

I just finished this race last night, what a fantastic race. I know some people may chalk vettel up to bad luck or whatever, but I think it does show a side of him people don't like to see, that when push comes to shove and he has to fight on the offensive, he rarely has the chops.

I loved the scraps between button and the back rows, and of course watchin alonzo, webber, and hamilton go at it that was awesome.

I also really like seeing alonzo hitching a ride, that was just a cool thing to see. Its nice to see that some people don't give a crap about the sterilization of the sport.

What a great weekend  Lewis wins with a masterclass.
I met Martin Brundle and had a chat.On our flight out to Germany Mike Gascoigne sat infront of me on the plane.See Boris Becker in Koln as well.On top of that a great trip.
Was great fun cheering Lewis on in Germany, even if i wasn't at the race. :hehe:

When you saw Boris, did he happen to be accompanied by his wife?
