Wow! fantastic race. 4hr delays is hard to get on the internet without stumbling over the results. Great battles and lots of action at Nurburgring, all this and no rain.. What's up with that :hehe:

Great Job by all! Hamilton, Alonso, Weber, and Vettel for just keeping cool on not such a strong weekend..

I always knew Button is just a journeyman....his win in Canada was just a number of things falling into his lap which made it look special when it wasn't. The day McLaren signed him, I thought the 2nd seat is a waste.

Vettel I had doubts, but more and more I'm getting sure of him as well.

Utter troll. Jenson's talent is undeniable, to say he is a 'journeyman' is an insult to his skill and achievements. He was charging through the pack until the hydraulics packed in today, he would have eaten Sebestian (who I have nothing against) alive. Surely you can celebrate you're favourite drivers' win without belitting other equally good drivers?

I'm merging this one to the GP thread as I don't feel this needed its own topic for it to be discussed. Thanks at least for keeping it let's keep it free of personal attacks, as the slightest thing is going to set this off. I wouldn't want to get angry on such a lovely Sunday afternoon.

Yeah, we wouldn't want the wrath of the Burning Khan unleashed on here

And it is such a lovely, lovely, lovely, Sunday. A very nice Sunday. On so many fronts :):)

Everywhere you looked on the grid there was a battle going on, absolutely fantastic racing!

The laps with Mark, Alonso and Lewis trailing eachother closely were incredible.

Also Petrov had a very interesting race. You could tell he was driving much more than the car was capable of.

Fine fine race. Makes me want to smooch a kiss on Bernie's forehead :)

It was funny when the commentators were joking about disqualifying our top 3. :P

I was entertaining that thought in my noggin' and imagined coming on here and gloating to all about a "much deserved win from Vettel." :wavey:

A thoroughly deserved win from Hamilton, and good racing for the battles for 1-3, and 4 and 5.

I think Petrov was a real highlight today.

Great race, action packed throughout. Awesome last lap pitstop challenge between RedBull and Ferrari crews.

What is wrong with Vettel? He drove terribly today, way too many mistakes and way too timid. On the first lap he could have taken Alonso, but backed out in corner 3/4. Later in the race with Massa he was also too sheepish. I suppose it was damage limitation from the poor quali.

I wanted to see MSC do better today, but he spun and lost a bunch of places.

We didn't see much of Sutil today, but way to bring home a great result.

Glad to see Ferrari and McLaren starting to bring the A game to the table. Hope to see much more great racing this season. Only 1 or 2 bad races so far and we are halfway through the season.

My apologies for getting your BP up, but I'll never agree Button is 'equally' as good as a few others on the grid. And I don't believe he would've eaten Sebastian alive, but that's down to meaningless opinions in the end.

And I've been 'belittling' Jenson in races where Lewis does badly/DNF as well, so dont worry, i'm consistent. I'm just a dissapointed McLaren fan for them hiring a driver who doesn't deserve a McLaren seat. I was hoping for a class driver like Rosberg or some such to fill in the second seat, so seeing Button waste the McLaren seat is a bit frustrating every race. :)

The guy won a WDC and he has shown that he can win races.....He's not in the same level as hamilton but to say that he's a bad drver and that he doesn't deserve a seat in mclaren is pretty much hating on the guy...

He's not a bad driver, he's just not good enough to be in a McLaren.

I see it this way, the top 3 teams need drivers who are exceptional, not the norm of very very good drivers which F1 deserves. In that perspective, I think Massa, Button and to a certain extent, Webber are not really the exceptional ones. I feel more strongly only about Jenson, since he is occupying the seat of the team I support. He is definitely a worthy F1 driver, maybe in a Renault or Mercedes class type of driver.
