Great race! although not the best result.

says you
2 surprise DNFs in a row for Jenson Button. I guess Ron Dennis can go back to wherever he was hiding, his job's done.

What is that meant to imply?

What he means is he is gutted that Lewis won and is now ahead of Jenson. He also thinks that Ron has done something to Jenson to make him have the DNF.

Sour grapes lol.

Vettel can piss points on any driver on the grid and still win this seasons WDC

The only thing "exposed" is that he is a run away points leader.

I think it's safe to say that he's been carrying one or two spanners in that new leather jacket he's been sporting lately, with the intention of loosening parts of Jenson's car.

But yeah; i'm only f-ing with you guys.... all conspiracy theorey

Definitely less sour than that sig of yours.

Yeah what'll happen there? You're not allowed to run out of fuel anymore. Remember the fuss when lewis pushed his car home.

I think as long as a fuel sample can be obtained, it should be fine....Ferrari immediately told alonso to stop in order to conserve fuel for the test(he didn't actually run out of fuel)...

Alonso's fuel test OK http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/265015/alonso-s-car-passes-fuel-legality-inspection and no penalty for hitching a ride with Webber. It would have been an injustice if Alonso had been DSQ after his drive. It would also have extended Vettel's run of podiums .

When Vettel's good, he normally shows it by qualifying up front. When he's not, well he's having a bad weekend.

He doesn't seem such a great overtaker, although given his position in the championship, it's not worth taking the chance.

Not sure how much of a weakness it is really, qualifying and running away with the win seems a good way to win championships.

From a championship winning point of view its an extremely good way to win championships but it also requires you to have a car capable of putting you on pole and quite frankly he has been extremely lucky to have that for the past 2 years, his 2 main competitors haven't really had that kind of car consistently over the last 2 years yet have pulled wins from what would be considered horrible positions something that Vettel has yet to do.

Apparently the last time Vettel won from lower then P1 or P2 was Malaysia 2010....

Were his passes on track though (excluding grid starts)?

He started third and I'm pretty sure he was ahead going through the first corner. Third is, in fact, the lowest position from which he has won a race, although that's not too surprising given the car.

If that fact is true than it further reinforces the views of a large number of F1 fans about Vettel.

He is an amazing driver and 1 of the funniest and nicest guys on the grid atm and its extremely hard to dislike him let alone hate him but i still have to wonder if he would even have 1 WDC let alone almost 2 if it wasn't for how amazing that car has been especially in qualifying.

Poor race by Redbull, either they didnt have the pace this weekend or the other teams have caught up. There is the possibility that their drivers just are not good enough but i think i would like to wait a few more races to make my mind up on that.

Lewis's race was pretty stunning, from start to finish he drove his socks off. His team on the other hand: "[...] save your tires" And then within a few corners Webber went in for the overtake  . He must have been soooo angry!

The birds are chirping, the sun is shining, the breeze is making the leaves in the tree tops rustle lightly. What a perfect day to watch F1 racing. Oh yea, and the results were pretty good too!

My head would explode if Ferrari and McLaren could keep this kind of pressure on the Red Bulls for the remainder of the year. Even the Red Bull fans have to admit that it was exciting racing, even though id doesn't always go your way. Lewis proved in Silverstone that you can be happy with fourth place, so Sebastian should acquiesce to this soon enough. We've got racing next weekend but today's race will keep me going way past next Friday's practice.

Everywhere you looked on the grid there was a battle going on, absolutely fantastic racing!
