A great race, even without rain.

It was fantastic when we had Vettel and Massa coming out of the pits, in the middle of Hamilton/Webber Alonso all battling and sweeping around turn 1.

That first corner really is great for overtaking, lots of room for drivers to either come up the inside (and consequently go deep) versus drivers taking a wider line and coming up in optimum line for turn 2.

Looks like McLaren were the first to spot the primes being worth going onto, although given that why didn't Redbull put Vettel on? Although his and Massa's options were fresher than the front three's.

Nice to see Massa coming back so strong, he made the best start compared to those around him, but got squeezed out onto the outside of Vettel who himself was outside of Alonso letting Rosberg through.

Not sure about Alonso running out of fuel, I think that was only for qualifying(the rule forbidding it)? As they didn't want drivers stopping and ruining any drivers behind still on fast laps.

No need for the DRS is there? The drivers appear to be able to gain extra grip now, I don't think the DRS is allowing passes to be made that wouldn't have happened, all it's doing is making passes that would happen anyway easier.

Ferrari's struggled with the colder temperatures, applied to both Massa and Alonso when coming out on newer tyres, their outlaps were tentative.

Solid work from Kobayashi, and clean from Sutil seeing them both in the points.

Poor luck for Jenson, too retirements in a row.

Poor race from Vettel though, lots of small mistakes.

Amazing result!!! A shame about Button's second consecutive retirement, but so much to be excited about!! 8-)

Great, close racing between the top guys... joy to watch...lots of skill.

And Alonso hitching a lift from Webber was a brilliant picture :)

This was yet ANOTHER classic!! This is why I love the new rules!! And I have always stood by this opinion. I'm in no way complaining :nono:

Actually I thought this race was less 'new rule' affected. The tyres lasted longer and the passes weren't all reliant on DRS. It wasnt prosesional but neither was it contrived. Real racing. No stewards meddling. A greatt ace!!

Yeah, you knew this was coming, :wavey:

The one race Seb was not on the 1st row, and he bungled it up bad. Decent start, but lost out, and then a little while later makes the biggest mistake any top driver has made this year throwing himself out of the win and podium chances.

I'd like the hardcore 'Vettel is the best driver' barrackers to justify that Vettel can 'fight his way through' races. He had a fantastic opportunity today in a car which was at least equal to the winning car, and he ended up 4th.

Anyone can lead from the front. (Except Webber). But only a few can fight their way through, and the top 2 in Nurburgring have proven it time and time again. Vettel has yet to.

Well done Lewis. Great win and that pass on Alonso was sweet. :D
Seb hasn't shut the critics up with that drive. From the front he looked unbeatable, but stick him back a row or two and he looks average at best imo.

Weber got a rubbish start, but looked lost compaired to Lewis and Alonso. Really enjoyed this one and can't wait for Hungry next week. Lewis for the win in seven days, to get the championship kickstarted into life!!

Now time for another........ :drink:

Add Button to that list now. He's proved it enough times this season alone.

I always knew Button is just a journeyman....his win in Canada was just a number of things falling into his lap which made it look special when it wasn't. The day McLaren signed him, I thought the 2nd seat is a waste.

Vettel I had doubts, but more and more I'm getting sure of him as well.

Agree Hammer. Both Seb and Jenson looked like amature's today. I've nothing against them both, but they have no fight when the going gets tough.

Lewis will show them all the way in the second half of the season imo. :D

Well, it was Jenson making the passes. So that really doesn't add up to what you say, f1boy.

Was a great win for Lewis....and a fun race to watch overall...the top 3 drivers drove fantastic and i loved how close it was through-out (the pass Lewis made on Alonso was great and i couldnt help but :D haha) shame that Jenson DNF i really think he would of been able to get into the mix between Vettel and Massa....Vettel made a few mistakes through-out the race and automatically people start questioning his driving skills when hes not leading (i dont agree...hes a talented driver whether he is leading or not he just didnt have IT this weekend) oh my days i said something kind towards Vettel :hehe: must be because im sooo happy Lewis Won :)

Next Race Hungary should be a good one

Jenson is a good driver and I do actually like him, but he doesn't have the focus to get to the front often enough. No aggression and a will to win.

Lewis is the one who always want's to push and get the victory imo. Jenson sometimes holds back when it matters.

The only lousy part of this weekend is....Hungary is next.

Better get my 'Speed' supplier ready to hand me some by Friday.

The Hungaroring hasn't actually been that bad in recent years. It's not as bad as the Spanish circuits at any rate.
