I don't see it much of an achievement to be honest. Lewis shouldn't be too proud of being equal on points with a driver like Jenson at this stage in the season.

Lewis is on song given the gap to Jenson, driving the car where it shouldn't be?

Possibly. I'm wondering if the track temperatures played a part in making the gap bigger than it otherwise should be, but it was still a fantastic lap from Lewis. I was worried he was going to steal pole at one stage! :P

Most interesting session in a while.

Where did the pace go for Redbull? Or did Vettel make a mistake, have problems?

If Webber makes another poor start from pole, I think Hamilton might have this race.

Practice sessions, always so damn misleading. I guess the lack of concrete evidence leads to our own biases and prejudices taking over our perception.

And rain is predicted for tomorrow. As long as it isn't enough to give the safety car the win, we should be in for another action packed race.

Lol, when are people going to except that Jenson is not in the same league as Lewis.

Blame it on what you like but nothing changed between Lewis on the track and Jenson,it's blatantly obvious that Jenson can't cut it or push the car over it's limits.

Their is no excuse from Jenson even though he likes to make them,i guess he is hoping it rains lol. :banghead:

Why would he hope it rains? Oh right Lewis is in front and can't overtake him like taking candy from a baby tomorrow. :D

Please go back and re-read. You might come across as being more intelligent.

Did anyone notice the sound coming from the downshifts from Renault? That was an awesome note!! The commentators were saying it is by far the loudest car on the track this weekend.

Most exciting Q in a long time. Perhaps the knowledge that tomorrow wets will be in play meant that they weren't saving every soft tire possible today. It was great seeing the drivers come back for a second attempt instead of banking one lap and going back to the garage. Shooting for the fastest time possible is the point of Q... not saving tires for tomorrow. I'd like to see this changed for next year.

BTW, on SPEED a commentator Bob Varsha said something that had me rolling... post Q, just after the weigh in, Hamilton and Massa came together and bumped into each other in a narrow corridor with the cameras following. Varsha said, OH contact between Hamilton and Massa.

I'm so glad that I won't be in internet tomorrow until Monday or Tuesday. If Vettel doesn't win, there is going to be so much :bs: written about him supposedly not being able to overtake etc etc and the gloating from the Vettel bashers is going to be unreal. At least when I'm back in internet land the fuss should have settled, or that's my plan at least.

Sheesh... give him a chance to lose the race first, it's as if you've already given up on him since he wasn't on pole.

I was just about to say that! :hehe:

How can you have so little faith in him that a 3rd place cannot result in a win?

I've not given up up on him, I'm just pre-empting the oh so predicable trash talk. Now that I have done this, there is no need for this to decend into Vettel bashing should he not win and the thread will remain on topic and there will be little to no moderation needed. Of course this won't happen but we can but hope.....

If he wins then there will be claims of Red Bull favouritism and hypocrisy. The poor kid can't catch a break from some quarters.

Thankfully he has enough of a lead that just being consistent will win him championship no. 2. There is no need to go out there and thrash the car unnecessarily.
