Well, yeah, but where's the evidence Massa is a better driver than Alonso? It's pretty much done.
Ferrari gave Massa a shot, at the start of 2010 and 2011, and he's been beaten.
F1 isn't about equal treatment, look at Fisichella, he doesn't even get to drive the damn car.
A relatively small proportion of f1 drivers get a competitive shot at the championship.
Massa's had more chances than all of those guys.
I agree meritocracy is normally the best way to determine who is the better driver, but once you work it out, that you have one clearly better than another, it tends to be favourable to support the better driver more than the worse one.
Number 1 and 2 should be by outcome not by design.
