[I don't know. If an employee of mine told me he wasn't changing a thing after repeated penalties and mistakes that cost my company a ton of money....I would sit him down and ask him what had been said to him to make him believe that at such a young age he was already perfect and in need of no improvement. Everyone has areas they could improve on...Hamilton's are obvious. He simply says he doesn't give a toss and will not change anything. That seems childish and immature to me. Oh...and Mansel. And... And... And...

He is a great driver....when he doesn't screw up...which unfortunately for his team is more often than not this year.

Cost your company a ton of money :rofl::rofl: Who do you think is the most marketable guy in F1  thats right. Its your hate guy :hehe::hehe:

On the racing front, he hasnt said he isnt in need of improvement, he's said he'd listen to criticism only from Senna. Senna did things Lewis still cant do, the others havent. You know what Bill, if you were running my company and were thinking of pissing of lewis for his driving style, you'd be out.

I think Vettel might be the most marketable, not that Lewis isn't profitable for McLaren.

It's an easy thing to say I guess (the Senna line), still it's once more smacks of taking the most abrasive pr route. It implies that he's the next driver below Senna.

Or the one he aspires to. The one he wants to emulate. The one he respects.

And id say lewis is easily the most marketable.

So how can he listen to critism from Senna? Seriously, I would love to know.

 Well clearly he cant. the word in there was 'would'. he's the only one he 'would' listen to...if he could.

So in other words he ain't interested. Personally, I tend to like the advice of those with experience or at least show appreciation even if I don't take the advice on offer. It is often the best way to learn, if you want to learn that is.

One of the top drivers in the world. I think he's learnt pretty well.

It doesn't matter what level you are at, there is always something to learn.

Oh I agree. Its how you learn it.

Senna would call him an arrogant upstart yet to prove he can do half as much as his mouth proclaims. Senna wouldn't give Hamilton or his 'I'm the next coming' rhetoric the time of day...let alone advice. As for the few in here claiming Hamilton is the most marketable driver on the grid....I assume there are numbers to prove this? Marketing is money, so Hamilton makes more than anyone on the grid in endorsements?

He probably feels the same way about Obama but uses his policies as the excuse for his dislike. :yikes:

You've made that claim before and it's still as ridiculous as it ever was. So, why beat about the bush like this....if you have an accusation to make, lets hear it. The mods have had nothing to say about your insinuation thus far (unless you count Whats Burning's constant attempts to draw me into a verbal battle he can issue a warning for... but I'll not oblige him, he knows what I think of him) so I'm sure they'll allow your opinion out in the open. I'll help you. I don't like Hamilton because I think his driving style shows no respect for others safety and his mouth shows no respect for others full stop. You are free to state what you believe my motives to be.

If he doesn't give a toss what experienced veterans attempt to tell him, and he doesn't give a toss what the FIA's sanctions attempt to tell him.....what is he learning and from where?

billindenver if you have something against my moderating, please take it up with an admin, I will not tolerate another baseless accusation of me. The next one will be your final one.

Oh sorry Bill, excuse me. I didnt realise you knew Senna personally  I will defer!
How is hamilton learning? Beats me, he's such a crap driver he's obviously got it all wrong. What advice would you give him?

Billindenver - it seems the Hamiltonians have this one covered. I'll let you into a well know Scottish military secret - retreat. Run in the same direction that the enemy are running. That way you live to fight another day.

Just thought I would try and inject some humour into a thread that is getting more and more heated. That's all. :hehe:

Beg to differ... that's what happens when you make baseless and disdainfully inflammatory arguments, with bupkis to back your claims up... there's a difference between *that* and a discussion.

There are a variety of threads on this forum that funny, informative, and even profound but billindenver wouldn't know it, since his visits to this forum revolve solely around rattling cages.

The way I see it is, Hamilton is the Marmite of F1. You either like him or you don't (I really hope this advert aired in more countries than just the UK), there is no middle ground, I can't remember seeing anyone saying "he's ok". It's always like him or dislike him.

To be honest I was in the dislike camp from the start and still am. I did start to warm to him when he started to act with a bit of maturity a while back but his attitude towards the those that are trying to help is really disappointing.

About my comment to Billindenver, just a clever way of saying let it go. Life is too short. We all know where each other stands on this. We know who likes and dislikes Hamilton.

I can't recall a driver that has ever evoked this much feeling. Usually there is a common consensus reached eventually, but where Hamilton is concerned it is always 2 camps, each at polar opposites to the other. It really is quite remarkable. Either that or I am easily impressed.
