Let's not forget who is the most important and influential person in our lives so  .

My mom is on the far left:

Unfortunately my mother passed away in a care home in 2005 after having a stroke back in 1997; I wish I could have her around now; I wish my new found family could have gotten to meet her! :(

I wish I had a family (ie wife and kids) that my mom could be a part of and my brother has no children of his own either. Dad's are great but imho one's mother makes them who they are or will be.

Just thought it would be nice if we could all give a shout out for the person who molded us.

I did not realise that USA and the UK had different mothers days, I did panic for a moment when I thought I had missed it.

Really sorry to hear that. I don't have kids, but the thought of having them and my mom not knowing them is horrible *hugs*.

You do have kids, right? Otherwise this post might be a bit awkward :hehe:

Both of my parents have been dead for a number of years but when my mother died in 2007, I had a strange feeling of being an orphan if that makes any sense. So happy mother's day and enjoy your relationship with them now while you can.(mothers love to get phone calls and visits from their kids you know)

Yes, I have two kids, a six year old boy (my stepson, but I am the only father he's known) and a 18 month old girl.

And thanks, but I am happy my mother has passed as she is no-longer in pain... it's hard to see your mother is such pain... it's a long story!
